Capo Padrone Thermal Jacket There's no room for bulky jackets in road racing. However, that doesn't mean that you need to suffer through every lap of your next cold race. This is where the Capo Padrone Thermal Jacket comes in. With a cut and density more in tune with a long sleeve jersey, the Padrone provides a level of protection that shames most ski jackets. Capo's Padrone jacket falls under what it calls its Gruppo Sportivo, or GS Series. Designed to 'push-the-envelope' of cycling apparel, the GS series receives Capo's most advanced materials and construction techniques. Basically, it checks all of the boxes on your wishlist -- compression, comfort, support, flexibility, and warmth. So, toeing this line, the Padrone was constructed from a blend of Capo's fabrics -- Shark, Super Roubaix Carbon, and Windtex. Starting with Shark, this material strikes the ideal balance between insulation and breathability. Operating as a membrane between the skin and the elements, the fabric regulates the internal temperature of the jacket by releasing excess heat between the material and the skin. But mainly, this system promotes warmth by keeping you dry. Don't believe us' Time for an experiment. Blow over the top of your hand. Now, wet your skin and blow again. Colder right' That's why Shark's composition favors a lightweight, softshell design over bulky, fleecy fabrics. Shark is not only wind-resistant, but Capo made sure that it was water-resistant, as well. Match that with a slim cut from hem to hem, and there's not a chance that rain or snow is getting in. And to be completely certain of this, Capo integrated the windproof Windtex fabric throughout the jacket. In addition to prepping for the elements, the Padrone has been designed to be highly malleable in order to complement the cycling-specific flexibility of the GS series. Capo made the Padrone with a lengthened rear hem, a multiple panel construction, and pre-shaped sleeves.

Capo Piancavallo Wind Jacket As cyclists, we're all guilty of imagining steep mountain passes as solely warm and sunny tests of our grit and determination. However, the laws of science tells us that the high places get high levels of snow and terrible lows of cold. So, it's only fitting that Capo presents both sides of the coin with the Competitive Cyclist-exclusive Piancavallo Wind Jacket. As a tangible reminiscence of the storied Giro ascent, the Piancavallo Wind Jacket will allow to live your gloried daydreams well into the wet months. Capo's Piancavallo wind jacket falls under what it calls its Super Corsa Series. Designed to wrap the bodies of the cycling elite, Super Corsa places an emphasis on comfort, practicality, and quality. So, toeing this line, the Piancavallo was constructed from a blend of Capo's fabrics -- Flight+ FP2 and V Mesh. Flight+ comprises the bulk of the construction, striking the balance between weather-protection and breathability. Essentially, it operates as a membrane between the skin and the elements, with the fabric regulating the internal temperature by releasing excess heat between the material and the skin. And while this system keeps you dry from the inside out, Flight+ FP2's wind- and waterproof design keeps outside moisture from penetrating in. So, in either the spring or early fall, when rogue winds and rains are more threatening than temperatures, the Piancavallo will act as a dependable transition piece. Furthering this concept are the jacket's V Mesh side panels. These provide a needed ventilation channel during hard exertions in typically humid weather. And if you find more ventilation is required, make use of the Piancavallo's two-way zipper for on-the-fly heat dumps. In addition to prepping for the elements, Flight+ FP2 has been designed to be highly malleable in order to complement the cycling-specific flexibility of the jacket's cut. Capo made the Piancavallo with a lengthened rear hem and gave it a multiple panel construction.

Capo Pursuit Thermal Jacket - Men's If you've been doing research on winter riding apparel recently, you've probably seen the number of winter jackets that boast insulation but no wind protection, or the opposite. Capo took the problem of needing two separate layers as a challenge and designed the Capo Pursuit Thermal Jacket as a solution. Slip on the jacket and feel the difference wind-proofing and thermal insulation in one pieces makes. The Pursuit Thermal Jacket is part of Capo's Corsa series. This series shows the level of Capo's dedication to all things Italian and cycling, which is why Italian fabrics are used in all of the pieces in the series. The Thermal Jacket is constructed with Micro Quattro Fleece and a Brick windproof membrane. The Quattro fleece has a soft, brushed inner layer that insulates against the cold by holding the warmth your body produces in its fibers. This brushed layer also makes the jacket comfortable to wear next to your skin when you want pair it with a short-sleeve jersey. The wind-blocking Brick membrane throughout the Pursuit Jacket is what makes it a go-to for winter riding. Though heat retention properties in a jacket are necessary for warmth, the Brick membrane keeps crisp air from penetrating the jacket, and sucking away your body heat as you descend hills and wind your way through country roads. While the top-end fabrics Capo uses are nothing short of fantastic, the use is nullified if the fit is off. That's why the Pursuit Thermal Jacket's fit is nothing short of impeccable. Using a multi-panel, contoured design, the jacket follows the shape of your body, while following its movements in and out of the saddle, much like the fit of the Pursuit Jersey. A full-length zipper down the center of the jacket is backed with a zip flap to add an additional barrier against the wind. The cam-lock zip-pull allows for easy ventilation when you find yourself warming up on a climb.

Capo Pursuit Wind Jacket Going out on your ride and gambling on the weather is all fun and games until those innocuous clouds start dropping that subtle pitter-patter. For those chilly winds and intermittent showers, save a corner of your jersey pocket for the Capo Pursuit Wind Jacket, and never be caught gambling without an ace in the hole. The Pursuit Jacket is sewn from two materials, Compact RS and Wind ST. The front, back, and sleeves of the jacket are cut from Compact RS, an ultra-light and soft rip-stop polyester. It's an impressively compressible fabric, enabling you to wad the jacket up and fit it into the included stuff sack. Compact RS does a great job of stopping wind and can even keep you dry in damp conditions; it's not really meant to serve as a rain jacket in a downpour, but it can keep you warm and comfortable in lighter surprise precipitation. To make the jacket is breathable, the side panels are cut from Wind ST, a stretchy circular weave polyester that offers some permeability and a four-way stretch that enables the form-following fit.The Pursuit Wind Jacket uses a full-length, lockable zipper, so when you turn the pull down, it stays put. Should you plan to keep the jacket on for the whole of your ride, the zippered pouch is great for carrying a cell phone or anything else you may want to stay dry. When the weather improves, you can pack it into its sack, stuff it in your jersey pocket, and still have room for a phone or energy bar.The Pursuit Wind Jacket is available in Black or White and comes in five sizes from Small through XX-Large.

But mainly, this system promotes warmth by keeping you dry. Don't believe us' Time for an experiment. Blow over the top of your hand. Now, wet your skin and blow again. Colder right' That's why the fabric's composition favors a lightweight, all-way stretch design over bulky, fleecy fabrics. Element-4 is not only wind-resistant, but Capo made sure that it was water-resistant, as well. Match that with a slim cut from hem to hem, and there's not a chance that rain or snow is getting in. And while staving off icy winds is integral in protection from the elements, a majority of the SC-12's insulation warmth is derived from the Thermo Roubaix fabric. Capo SC-12 Softshell Jacket SC-12 Softshell Jacket. With a cycling-specific design and a proprietary fabric construction, the SC-12 will tame the wildest of winter days. Capo's SC-12 Softshell jacket falls under what it calls its Super Corsa Series. Designed to wrap the bodies of the cycling elite, Super Corsa places an emphasis on compression, comfort, materials, and above all, warmth. So, toeing this line, the SC-12 was constructed from a blend of Capo's fabrics -- the Alpino Softshell and the Super Roubaix Carbon. Starting with Alpino, this material strikes the ideal balance between insulation and breathability. Operating as a membrane between the skin and the elements, the fabric regulates the internal temperature of the jersey by releasing excess heat between the material and the skin. But mainly, this system promotes warmth by keeping you dry. Don't believe us' Time for an experiment. Blow over the top of your hand. Now, wet your skin and blow again. Colder right' That's why Alpino's composition favors a lightweight, softshell design over bulky, fleecy fabrics. Alpino is not only wind-resistant, but Capo made sure that it was water-resistant, as well. Match that with a slim cut from hem to hem, and there's not a chance that rain or snow is getting in. In addition to prepping for the elements, Alpino has been designed to be highly malleable in order to complement the cycling-specific flexibility of the jacket's cut. Capo made the SC-12 with a lengthened rear hem, a multiple panel construction, and pre-shaped sleeves. The idea was to complement the body in motion, and by doing so, reducing any possibility of abrasion along the way. Even further along these lines, Capo incorporated Super Roubaix Carbon lateral stretch panels. This microfiber has a four-way stretch construction with elements of carbon fiber within the composition. This gives the material a natural anti-microbial characteristic that will fight off odor creating bacteria.

Castelli Confronto Jacket Let's face it, a dependable jacket makes the difference between sitting at home and riding your bike on a rainy day. However, while many jacket makers make claims of waterproofness and breathability, a select few actually exert the time and money to test these claims. Not surprisingly, Castelli is one of these rare breeds, and its new Confronto Jacket proves just what a little obsessive TLC will do. To make the Confronto jacket your go-to for wet weather riding, Castelli constructed it from the Torrent 2L fabric. This material is completely waterproof, wind-resistant, and highly breathable. And while we're always hesitant to support claims of waterproofness and breathability, this material has a water column rating of 10000mm and a Moisture Vapor Perspiration (MVP) of 8000. Additionally, Castelli has also taped the critical seams of the jacket, included at the high collar, and installed a waterproof zipper in order to keep water from trickling in unexpectedly. For breathability, Castelli placed two large ventilation ports on the rear portion of the jacket. Together, the fabric's attributes and characteristics provide a level of protection that keeps water from getting in, but rapidly assists its getting out. Just as importantly, Torrent 2L was selected for its high degree of stretch. As a result, the Confronto provides a hard-shell level of protection with the feel and freedom of movement of a softshell jacket. This clever system of protection also accentuates the purposeful cut and fit of the Confronto. Essentially, the jacket's shape has been cut to mirror the body in the cycling position. So, you'll notice that the back has been elongated with the sleeves. This way, the annoyance of fabric bunching and pulling has been eliminated while you're on the hoods or in the drops. Now, there's no chafing or seam abrasion, and Castelli even took the extra step of lining the jacket in breathable mesh in order to ensure this.

Castelli Gabba Convertibile Jacket When the weather turns on a dime, you'll be ready with the Castelli Gabba Convertibile Jacket. Featuring the latest Castelli technology, the Gabba Convertibile Jacket is the ultimate in protection from cold, nasty weather. Developed for competition in the Spring Classics, the Gabba series provides breathable fabrics that guarantee wind and rain protection. And if the skies part, and the temperature rises, the Gabba Convertibile allows you to remove the long sleeves and keep riding. Accordingly, no other jacket can be ridden as comfortably, and in as many climates, as the Gabba Convertibile Jacket. Essentially, Castelli's Gabba Convertibile Jacket is a rain-specific version of the Castelli Aero Race jersey. For further rain protection, Castelli included a Storm-flap off the rear jersey panel to protect you from wheel spray, and the three rear pockets feature eyelets for water drainage. To add extra comfort, Castelli incorporated its Nanoflex inserts under the arms for controlled temperature regulation. Castelli Mortirolo Due Jacket Named after the famed Mortirolo pass, the Castelli Mortirolo Jacket lets you ride comfortably in temperate winter climates. Utilizing some of the technology found on the Espresso Due, this jacket is geared more for riding in moderate temperatures (higher than 46 F) while providing ample wind protection. The Mortirolo is constructed in two parts. The two vertical zippers on the front of the jacket give maximum ventilation when used with the full-length zipper to dump heat while you are climbing. For a light air flow, simply adjust the side vent zippers to where you want them. The Castelli Mortirolo Jacket is finished off with an elastic gripper along the bottom hem to keep the jacket from riding up. Castelli Pazzo Jacket Pazzo means 'crazy' in Italian, perhaps a fitting adjective for someone looking for a garment that can provide true 3-season versatility. Too often jackets with removable sleeves are developed as jackets, with the vest just an afterthought. That's not the case with the Castelli Pazzo Jacket. It's equally great as a vest or as a jacket, and it will quickly become a favorite addition to your wardrobe because of this versatility. The Pazzo Jacket features Castelli's new SG0.6 Wind fabric with a light brushing on the inside surface for better insulation and a membrane on the outside for enhanced performance in wet weather. But rather than just use one layer of SG0.6 fabric, Castelli uses two. Why' Two layers of fabric enables Castelli to sandwich a windproof membrane in between to trap air in the fibers, thus providing excellent insulation. It does this without sacrificing the potential for moisture movement out of the jacket to help you stay warm and dry. Sounds crazy, right' Well, it works. The Pazzo comes with a full camlock zipper that stays flat when the zipper head is down. Three rear pockets are spacious enough to hold spare tubes, gloves, and food, while two rear reflective tabs offer increased visibility in low light conditions. The Castelli Pazzo Jacket is available in three color combinations -- Black, Red/white, and White/black. It comes in six Castelli-specific sizes from Small through XXX-Large. Like most Castelli clothing, the Pazzo is designed to be form-fitting as the technical fabrics used to construct the jacket work best when in close contact with your body. Be sure to check the sizing chart to ensure proper fit.

Castelli Pocket Liner Jacket Wearing a rain jacket on a damp day's ride won't do you much good if you're soggy under the shell and it's either flapping around or even catching so much wind that you feel like a parachute is attached to your back. With the Castelli Pocket Liner Jacket , you wont have to choose anymore between ending up wet from your sweat or wet from the rain and you'll enjoy a sleek, body-hugging fit that won't slow you down.In close communication with the Cervelo Test Team first and then the Garmin-Cervelo team, Castelli refined the eVent fabric that it uses to such remarkable effect in the Pocket Liner Jacket. EVent is a waterproof fabric that keeps you dry in rainy conditions. However, unlike most waterproof materials that do not allow the body to breathe, the Pocket Liner Jacket's eVent membrane features millions of tiny pores that are small enough to block large water droplets but small enough to allow the water vapor that you're generating to escape. So next time you see David Millar in escape mode during a cold, rainy stage at the Giro, you'll know that he has a huge advantage over his competitors since he has the Pocket Liner Jacket in his arsenal of secret weapons. If he or you are soloing away from the pack in the rain, the Pocket Liner Jacket offers an additional advantage since it has been designed with a close, unobtrusive fit in mind. To give other rain jackets their due, outer layers of this sort usually have to be pretty roomy in order to fit over multiple layers, especially if you are using them in the winter and are wearing your heavy winter riding kit. The Pocket Liner Jacket fits over winter layers yet also doesn't bag and sag when you have only your jersey on underneath because Castelli incorporated pliss stretch zones for a perfect fit without extra fabric.

Castelli Sottile Due Jacket When ominous weather looms over race day, we often see the pros requesting a modified water bottle that's been stuffed with a lightweight jacket. Mechanics simply cut a bottle's top off and drop it in the seat tube cage, providing convenient and effective storage for riders to quickly access additional layers, nutrition, and rain shells. For the Garmin-Barracuda riders choosing this option, chances are that team mechanics are outfitting those bottles with Castelli's Sottile Due Jackets. The Sottile Due Jacket is Castelli's new lightweight barrier against the elements. It's light enough to wad up and stuff in your jersey pocket or bottle without adding any noticeable weight or bulk to your kit. The jacket is constructed from a blend of Castelli's breathable, water-, and wind-resistant fabrics, with mesh at the underarms for added breathability. The body panels of the Sottile Due are semi-transparent, so your team kit and race number stay visible through the gloomiest of weather. Designers at Castelli kept the fit of the jacket fairly trim and body-forming. This is to keep weight to a minimum and to avoid the 'garbage bag' effect caused by many ill-fitting shells. Sleeves are long to accommodate the cycling position, with a generous drop-hem to further cover your backside. The Sottile was created with a minimal design, but the small and important details were given proper consideration. A full-length contrasting front zipper aids in both temperature regulation and on-the-bike removal. Rounded elastic banding at the cuffs and hem keep the jacket in place, a single side zipper provides access to your jersey's pockets underneath, and small reflective elements increase your visibility in low-light conditions. The Castelli Sottile Due Jacket is available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and in the colors Transparent White and Yellow Fluo.

Castelli Sottile Due Shorty Jacket - Men's Designed for light weight and easy carry, Castelli's Sottile Due Shorty Jacket is the most packable jacket in its lineup. Stuff it in a jersey pocket when the weather looks sketchy, and it will be right there when the sky opens up. The Sottile Due Shorty Jacket is made from a semi-transparent, slightly stretchable fabric that is rated at 10,000 mm of waterproofness, is wind-resistant, and is highly breathable. And in case youre wondering, this rating means that a 10,000mm fabric will repel a column of water up to 10,000mm in height, or about 32 feet. In more relatable terms, this jacket provides nearly the same waterproofness as a typical pair of ski pants. In terms of fit, the Sottile Due has a sleek, race-inspired cut with both an extended collar down and a wheel-spray-deflecting elongated rear. Mesh at the underarms allows cooling air to flow through the jacket, and it has a generously sized single-zip on the right side that provides easy access to your jersey pockets. The days of fussing with your vest to reach your rear pockets are over. For an increased visibility to motorists in low-light conditions, Castelli has also added reflective elements throughout the jacket. The Castelli Sottile Due Shorty Jacket is available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and in the colors Yellow Fluo and Transparent. Please note that Castelli estimates a useful temperature range of about 50 to 64 degrees Fahrenheit for this jacket.

The Velocissimo provides total wind and rain-resistance, while giving you breathable warmth in freezing temperatures. With the Velocissimo Equipe Jacket in tow, you'll be waiting at the window for the snow plow to fly by, not Santa. The end result is a breathable winter jacket that's effective at temperatures as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and tailored to fit your body positions in the saddle. The Velocissimo Equipe Jacket is fully windproof and water-resistant, and features a high collar for protection from exposure. Chrome Ike Windshirt Fashion can be a fickle, ever-changing thing. One day, your patched-up, oil-stained denim jacket turns heads from the ladies, and the next day, it's eliciting laughter. That's why we're all seeing a resurgence in straightforward, no nonsense designs like the Chrome Ike Windshirt. From a better age where campaign commercials said 'I like Ike, you like Ike,' the Windshirt has been made as timeless in its appearance as it has in its specificity to the bike. Chrome knows that you can ride in any jacket, but 'any jacket' can be torturous when you're in the saddle. That's why the Ike Windshirt is made from a wool-like, brushed polyester. The sleeves and rear hem were lengthened a bit to keep you covered when you're stretched out in the saddle. The rear of the jacket also has a pass-through cargo pocket that makes grabbing your phone or keys a cinch while you're on the move. For the wind protection functionality of the Ike Windshirt, Chrome went all out to keep you cold off of your skin. First off, the jacket's twill material naturally deflects wind, but to cover all of the bases, Chrome also placed wind-resistant, hidden nylon panels at the front of the Ike. And while this keeps cold air from getting in, Chrome also took steps to ensure that hot air can get out. Not only does the jacket have a two-way zipper for ventilation, but there are also dual armpit zips to keep the air flowing through. To further prevent win infiltration, the cuffs are zippered and the collar snap-buttons down. Chrome has also added reflective accents throughout the jacket to increase your visibility in low-light conditions. The Chrome Ike Windshirt is available in four sizes from Small to X-Large and in the color Military Green.

Chrome Stock Cobra Hoodie When you're going out to do your business around town, you don't always have to dress for WWIII. Contrary to popular belief, most of the time, the air is simply cool. So, when no freak hail storms, tornadoes, or cloudless lightning storms loom on the horizon, skip the trip to your survival bunker and throw on the Chrome Stock Cobra Hoodie. At first glance, you probably wouldn't guess that the Stock Cobra has been designed for cycling. Exactly Chrome's point. The Stock Cobra hides its functionality in plain sight. This way, you don't have to look like Cipo when you go to the grocery store -- not that we don't do that regularly, too. To accommodate your position and movements in the saddle, Chrome extended the sleeves and rear hem of the hoodie. Now, you can move freely without having the fabric ride up or bunch. For storage, the Stock Cobra is fully loaded with subtly placed, useful pockets. At the wrist, there's a hidden zippered pocket with an integrated band to stow your keys. No surprise; there are also two warming hand pockets. However, behind those, there's a pass-through cargo pocket on the rear panel. Altogether, you can store big volumes of stuff, eliminating the need to bring a bag for small trips out. Getting down to the nitty-gritty, the Stock Cobra's main purpose is to keep you warm. So, Chrome constructed it from a thick, heathered cotton-blend fabric. This material keeps a good deal of the wind out, it adapts well to motion, and it keeps you warm in chilly temperatures. And when the mercury really starts to drop, zip all of the way up and pop the hood to take advantage of the tall collar and extra head protection. The Chrome Stock Cobra Hoodie is available in four sizes from Small to X-Large and in the colors Black and Olive.

Chrome Storm Cobra Jacket Even though our hearts bleed obnoxious fluorescent colors, we're still cognizant that these color schemes won't fly at the local pub. On top of this, we live in a small mountain town, and we don't want our grocery runs and errands to be remembered by the locals as 'the day that the Italian peloton came to town.' So, in the vein of toning it down a bit, we prefer to trade saddle style for street style while we're out and about with the Chrome Storm Cobra Jacket. A touch of wizardry must have been involved in the design process for the Storm Cobra jacket. Somehow, the cut is cycling-specific, yet the general appearance says hubba hideout or beers at Gestalt. To achieve this, the sleeves and rear hem were lengthened a bit to keep you covered when you're stretched out in the saddle. The rear of the jacket also has a pass-through cargo pocket that makes grabbing your phone or keys a cinch while you're on the move. For the all-conditions functionality of the Storm Cobra, Chrome went all out to keep you covered and dry. First off, the jacket is made from a waterproof Tactel Nylon fabric, and to cover all of the bases, Chrome also fully-taped the seams of the Cobra. In fact, even the front zipper has a waterproof backing. The collar has been cut high, and the hood is constructed from three panels to minimize the effects of wind. And while this keeps water from getting in, Chrome also took steps to ensure that any buildup of moisture can get out. Not only does the jacket have a two-way zipper for ventilation, but there are also dual armpit zips to keep the air flowing through. Chrome has also added reflective accents throughout the jacket to increase your visibility in low-light conditions. The Chrome Storm Cobra Jacket is available in four sizes from Small to X-Large and in the colors Black and Olive.

Chrome Storm Field Jacket Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you've noticed that military cuts are quite en vogue. In fact, from Paris to Bryant Park, it's about all that you see for outerwear these days. However, there's a huge difference between cashmere and utilitarian, and an even bigger difference between generic blah-military-inspired and the classic M65. Luckily for you, Chrome gets it, and its Storm Field Jacket still embodies the roughneck, get-it-done functionality of the original M65 that it's modeled after. Unlike 'fashion jackets' with a military cut, the Storm Field jacket adopted the aesthetic as an afternote to the M65's functionality. Do a side-by-side comparison of the two, and you'll be surprised that the only differences are in the finish of the twill fabric, one less breast pocket, and the adaptation of the cut for cycling. To achieve this aspect, the sleeves and rear hem were lengthened a bit to keep you covered when you're stretched out in the saddle. The rear of the jacket also has a full-width, pass-through cargo pocket that makes grabbing your phone or keys a cinch while you're on the move. For the all-conditions functionality of the Storm Field, Chrome went all out to keep you covered and dry. First off, the jacket is made from a waterproof twill fabric, and to cover all of the bases, Chrome also fully-taped the seams of the Field. In fact, even the front zipper has a waterproof backing. The collar has been cut high, and the hood is stowable for both clear and stormy days. The Chrome Storm Field Jacket is available in four sizes from Small to X-Large and in the color Charcoal.

Craft Elite Jacket Weather isn't something conquerable; you can only conform, and such polarity is something that's difficult for our modern brains to comprehend. So, we typically buy our winter apparel by representative volume, while we foolishly negate the logic that some fabrics get more done with less. Yes, the true path to thermo-harmony is the middle way, and that's why Craft made the Elite Jacket. Featuring a lightweight, ergonomic design that's made from proprietary materials, the Elite Jacket works like a second skin to keep you rolling comfortably through winter.Craft's Elite Jacket is made from a precise blend of exclusive Craft fabrics and technologies that work in concert to provide an adaptable, ergonomic fit. Craft Performance Storm Men's Jacket Craft likes to keep you covered. With their Performance Storm Jacket you get amazing protection against the elements at a very comfortable price point. It's a perfect cold weather jacket to keep you toasty even when the wind kicks up and threatens to pull all your body heat away. With its fleecy lining and impenetrable shell, you'll get the two things you need most on nasty winter days -- insulation and wind protection. The fabric on the front of the jacket is stretchy in spite of the fact that it also contains wind breaker panels. This is an important part of what makes it so comfortable. The Performance Storm Jacket is also lightweight enough that you won't feel bulked up or weighed down. The interior has a brushed fleece that keeps you warm while working to pull moisture away from your body so that you won't have a sweaty buildup inside the jacket to chill you from within. Craft added a similar brushed flex fleece on the inner collar to keep your neck from getting cold in the most blustery weather. The rear of the jacket has a similarly effective fabric against wind and rain. It's kitted out for long, intense days in the saddle and includes the usual three patch pockets in addition to a zippered fourth rear pocket. They've placed this secure pocket in the middle of the back, so that when you carry your keys and smart phone, the weight of your essentials won't throw off the fit of the jacket. And since music players have become an essential item, a hole inside the back pocket has been fashioned so that you can wire your head phones conveniently through the back of your jacket. Reflective prints and tapes in the front, sides, and back have been included to increase your visibility on a dusky evening. The Craft Performance Storm Jacket comes in Black and Fire. It is available in Small through XX-Large.

Craft Performance Stretch Jacket - Men's An examination into the first law of thermodynamics tells us that energy can neither be created or destroyed. According to this law, heat is a product of work, and a transfer of energy. In terms of cycling, your body puts off tremendous heat during high aerobic exercise in order to maintain an internal thermo-equilibrium. And when it comes to winter jackets, your choice is simply to harness this output or be harnessed by it. The Craft Performance Stretch Jacket does the prior by providing a lightweight, breathable design that's wind and waterproof. The Stretch Jacket's fabric selection and ergonomics does away with the notion of warmth being equatable to volume. When it's 50 degrees, we think you'll select this over a parka.Craft's Performance Stretch Jacket is made from a combination of exclusive Craft fabrics that work in concert to provide an adaptable, ergonomic fit. The jacket achieves this by using a mix of polyester, spandex, and elastic fabrics; with the coup de grace being the Ventair X Wind material. As the names suggests, the fabric is not only windproof, but also waterproof. Working together in the Craft Body-Comfort System, they form a laminated soft shell with different materials selectively placed around the jacket. This system divides the body into different zones, and integrates the appropriate material on a zone-by-zone basis. The result is a contour-conforming fit that moves with your body in movement, not against it.The Craft Performance Stretch Jacket is available in sizes from X-Small to XX-Large, and in the colors Amino/black, Black/flame, and Bright Red Black.

DAKINE Blitz Jacket - Men's There are times when the combination of the right type of soil and a light, misty rain can spell epic riding. We've ridden some trails in the Pacific Northwest that turn a light rain into intensely rail-able turns and face-melting speed. Even so, feeling wet and clammy during a ride can be a real bummer. Having a light rain jacket on hand can be the key to a day you'll talk about for years to come, and the Dakine Blitz Jacket fits the bill nicely. This waterproof breathable 2.5-layer jacket will stash compactly in your pack, so you'll be ready when the weather pulls a fast one.Dakine built the Blitz Jacket with 10K waterproof, 10,000g/m breathable nylon fabric that will stand up to all but the nastiest downpours. This isn't a spray-on treatment, it's a waterproof breathable membrane that will last for years with proper care. The seams are fully taped to eliminate the typical weak spots in the waterproofing. The jacket's breathability allows moisture to escape, so you don't get that nasty, clammy feeling that some jackets will give you. De Marchi 6/6 Nylon Windbreaker Sometimes the hardest weather to dress for is when it is not too cold, maybe 55 or 60, degrees but windy. With the wind, the sun and clouds are apt to be dancing around together, and so we'll swing from being too warm with the sun out and the wind at our back, and then with a change of direction or increase of cloud cover, we're back to being too cold again. De Marchi has been there too, and so it developed the 6/6 Nylon Windbreaker to cover precisely those conditions, and more. As the name suggests, the 6/6 Nylon Windbreaker is made from 100% 6-6 nylon, one of the most durable nylons available. It has a springy, resilient quality that is perfect for cycling outerwear, and has a dense structure with small, evenly spaced pores. Windproof and water-resistant, you'll be able to count on the 6/6 Nylon Windbreaker to provide you with multiple levels of protection four seasons out of the year. It has a simple, sturdy construction with a classic cycling form fit so that you can wear it without feeling like you are trailing a parachute after you. The jacket has a full-length front zip to allow for easy removal and ventilation. The collar has a soft, sweat-wicking lining that will help keep your neck warm on those cooler days. The front left side has a small zippered pocket to keep your most important small items handy, while three rear pockets allow you to keep all your stuff easily accessible on those days when you don't expect to be able to take this baby off. Reflective stripes and a YKK zipper add to the safety and utilitarian durability of this windbreaker. An extended tail is a nice touch for those days that it'll be helpful to have protection on your bum from the light spray of mildly wet roads. The De Marchi 6/6 Nylon Windbreaker comes in Navy Blue and is available in sizes Small through XX-Large.

De Marchi CL Jacket When it comes to the shoulder seasons, you're probably finding yourself plagued with an irritating cough or cold quite often. Why' Because of the simple rule that what comes up must come down. When you think about it, the weather doesn't always warrant a jacket when you're working up a sweat on your climbs. However, once your climb is over, you find yourself freezing on the way down. And this is just one scenario of how Mother Nature is able to throw a wrench into the fun of your ride. So, what's the solution to unpredictable weather' A packable shell like the De Marchi CL Jacket, of course. De Marchi went with a 6/6 micro rip-stop nylon for the construction of the CL jacket. This fabric features a superfine construction that feels light against the skin. However, rip-stop is made with a reinforcing technique at the fiber level that makes it highly resistant to either tearing or ripping. If you're curious to what this 'technique' is, basically, it involves the use of both thicker and thinner threads. Essentially, the thicker threads are interwoven in intervals in a crosshatch pattern. So, the fabric is given a three-dimensional structure. And given that the 6/6 ratio is still rather permeable, the nylon retains its natural moisture wicking and breathable characteristics. In terms of fit, you'll find that, although this is a unisex design, the CL jacket is rather conforming to the torso and arms. This is due to De Marchi cutting the form on a contour, which, in turn, makes the CL quite adaptable to both the positions and movements of cycling. And to secure this fit, the jacket features a seamless elastic gripper along the rear hem. It's also worth noting that the CL jacket is made in Italy from Italian-sourced materials. Additionally, this piece is Oekotex-certified -- a certifiable European textile standard. The jacket also features a zippered side pass-through pocket in order to access your jersey pockets, and a microfiber collar for a little added warmth.

De Marchi Contour Light Foldable Jacket - Men's Like a gilet, shoe covers, arm warmers, or embrocation, a highly packable riding jacket is an essential piece of kit in the eccentricities of preparation for spring riding. Tipping the scales well under 100 grams for a size Large, the De Marchi Contour Light Foldable Jacket is just that -- a lightweight and completely packable wind- and water-resistant piece designed to keep you prepared in a pinch. So much so, that the jacket folds into its own included zippered pouch for ease of stashing in your jersey pocket. De Marchi constructed the Foldable Jacket with a superfine 6/6 nylon weave finished with a nanotechnology for an added degree of moisture resistance should those clouds be pushing more than chilly winds. Of course, the Contour Light Foldable Jacket couldn't be called so if it didn't follow De Marchi's signature Contour fit. All of the garments in this series provide an elegant, form-following cut, which will bend naturally with your arms and torso as you reach for the drops to explore your aerodynamic extremes. De Marchi Contour Plus 3L Reflector Softshell Jacket - Men's Make no bones about it -- despite its deceptively light weight, the Contour Plus 3L Reflector Softshell Jacket is DeMarchi's warmest, winter combat-ready jacket for those days when you insist on getting outside and getting in training miles when no one else would dare. While similar in fit and its utilitarian, low-profile silhouette, it differs from DeMarchi's Softshell Stealth Jacket in a number of critical aspects. At first glance, it's clear that the Reflector Jacket is significantly more visible -- foremost evidenced by the thick, reflective stripes that traverse the chest and back of the jacket. These stripes lend further proof to the fact that this is the jacket that will keep you protected, and keep you visible should your training runs happen upon any rogue blizzards or sudden freezing downpours. Those who train above the 45th parallel also take note: the collar of the Reflector Softshell Jacket is additionally equipped with a detachable zippered Thermolite Roubaix balaclava to seal out any sub-zero chill. Unlike some of the other pieces in the Contour Plus line which feature a combination of fabrics, DeMarchi reached for its top-performing, three-layer Thermashield fabric for the entirety of the jacket. Here, you'll find a windproof Windtex membrane sandwiched betwixt DeMarchi's durable soft shell Thermashield and a soft, polyester microfleece which lines the vest's interior. The element-facing sides of the fabric are also treated with a protective Teflon application which helps better shield you from wet spray or mud stains. As with all of their Contour apparel items, De Marchi gives this a form-following cut. It will bend naturally with your arms and torso as you reach for the drops to explore your mid-winter flexibility. And no matter how deep in those drops you may get, the back of the jacket features a subtly elongated drop-tail to better protect your backside from road spray.

De Marchi Contour Plus 3L Softshell Stealth Jacket - Men's If the heralded fit and construction of the DeMarchi Contour Insulator Jacket intrigues you, but you'd rather err on an additional degree of weather protection for the absolute worst your winter training might throw at you, then perhaps the Contour Plus 3L Softshell Stealth Jacket might best suit your needs. Like the Italian label's similarly titled bib tights, DeMarchi engineers have designed this jacket around the minimalist silhouette that ensures maximum protection from chill wind and water, and temperatures dipping as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Think of the Contour Plus 3L garments as a complete system -- a foul-weather suit of armor, without the bulk, if you will. The 'Stealth' nomenclature in the jacket's title is something of a re-naming convention, due to the jacket's impressive lightness and numerous upgrades from previous 'Race' iterations. Make no mistake though -- with its intelligent and top-performing fabric blend and superlative Contour fit, this is very much a race-ready jacket. As with all of their Contour apparel items, De Marchi gives this a form-following cut. It will bend naturally with your arms and torso as you reach for the drops to explore your mid-winter flexibility. It has a full length zipper with a draft shield built in behind it. This ensures that you won't get a chill through the zipper, and it makes one-handed adjustment easy and snag-free. There's a zipper dock at the top to ensure you won't get pinched, and when you're charging into a headwind, the 5cm collar is tall enough to seal out the chill. DeMarchi created the jacket around a combination of a three-layer wind and waterproof Thermashield front with a Thermolite Roubaix back -- the latter of which is the next evolution in the vein of the superlative Italian fabric, Super Roubaix. The core of this new, toasty fleece-backed fabric is made from hollow Thermolite fibers which reduce the fabric's overall weight while enhancing its thermal capacity.

De Marchi Contour Plus Ultra 3L Hardshell Jacket - Men's There is nothing like a little rain or a flurry of sleet to put a damper on your zest for an early Spring training session. The De Marchi Contour Plus Ultra 3L Hardshell Jacket makes short work of Mother Nature's wrath, further proving that the most memorable and epic rides await those who come prepared. Like its softshell cousin, the Hardshell Jacket is designed to be highly visible -- foremost evidenced by the thick, reflective stripes that traverse the chest and back of the jacket. These stripes lend further credence to the fact that this is the jacket that will keep you protected, and keep you visible, should your training runs happen upon any rogue blizzards or sudden freezing downpours. The jacket is also equipped with a waterproof and breathable eVent hood, designed to fit under your helmet. Of course, the hood is removable if you so desire. While the Reflector Softshell jacket is designed more around wind-proofing and thermal regulation through insulation, the 3L Hardshell jacket is a purpose-driven, waterproof storm fortress of sorts. It is constructed with a three-layer eVent fabric which is both waterproof, and exceptionally breathable -- negating the need for any additional ventilation zippers. However, a front napoleon pocket doubles as a media stash and a potential ventilation point should the need arise. eVent is also notable in that it is highly packable -- enough so that you can keep the Hardshell Jacket handy in a jersey pocket if you leave the house with storm clouds looming. As with all of their Contour apparel items, De Marchi gives the Hardshell Jacket a form-following cut. It will bend naturally with your arms and torso as you reach for the drops to explore your mid-winter flexibility. And no matter how deep in those drops you may get, sealed cuffs at the wrist and an elongated drop-tail on the back of the jacket keep those points from any potential exposure to the cold.

Endura Flyte Jacket Finding a cycling jacket to keep you dry during the rainy season isn't hard. If all you wanted was to simply stay dry, you could wrap yourself in Tyvek and hit the trails. However, if you want to stay dry, have unrestricted movement of your arms and torso as you ride and look somewhat stylish, the objective is a little more challenging. The Endura Flyte Jacket combines the best technology in breathable waterproof fabric combined with a lightweight anatomic fit. This hard-shell all-weather jacket will keep you dry in the most adverse conditions without weighing you down. The Flyte Jacket is composed of three-layer PTFE fabric. The most breathable waterproof membrane currently on the market, PTFE works by weaving the fabric in a lattice pattern, allowing air to easily circulate without allowing moisture penetration. This 12,000mm waterproof and 28,0000g breathable ratings remain even after multiple machine washes. Anatomic panels throughout the jacket provide a precise fit and each seam is welded so there is no traditional stitching to allow leaks. Three-layer stretch panels cover each shoulder so that the jacket doesn't tug at your shoulders as you reach for the bars. A full zipper finishes mid neck and Velcro keeps the zipper panel securely closed. A drawcord at the nape of the neck allows a custom fit and keeps any water from trickling inside. The sleeve is gusseted toward the cuff, allowing easy maneuverability around gloves. To tighten the fit, simply snug the Velcro tabs around the wrist. A laser cut pocket in the chest contains a tethered glasses wipe and large rear pocket keeps all stowables secure and dry. The drop-tail hem provides ample coverage in the rear and is fully adjustable by means of an internal drawcord. The Endura Flyte Jacket is available in Black and Red in five sizes from Small through XX-Large. Both colors employ reflective flush inset panels in the front and rear for complete 360-degree reflectivity.

Endura Helium Jacket In addition to shedding water, Endura's Helium Jacket sheds light on the bleary-eyed obfuscation of dressing for an early morning ride in what promises to be mixed and perhaps nasty weather. Sometimes outerwear comes down to one question -- stacked insulative layers or less insulation and a shell' If you're like us, that decision, shell or no shell, has usually boiled down to the fact that your old waterproof jacket is not compact enough to fit in a back pocket if you get too warm. But when it's raining, the Helium Jacket will definitively keep the water and wind from sapping your body heat. Warm is always good, and the Helium's no frills design makes it super-packable and pocketable if you get lucky with some sun.You see, Endura is a company born in the Scottish Highlands, where the weather can go from bad to worse on the whisper of a breeze. They know how to dress in layers and how to use those layers to manage temperature and moisture to enjoy every ride, no matter the conditions. The Helium Jacket is designed expressly with this layering in mind. As stated before, it will fit in a back jersey pocket, and the best part is that it doesn't sacrifice any technical elements to be so packable. Unlike many superlight jackets, the Helium has fully taped and sealed seams to complement the waterproof, windproof, and fully breathable PTFE Protection shell material.Endura keeps things simple. The Helium has but one pocket, in the back and slightly off-center. It's perfectly useful for a stash of cash or your music player, and there's a port through which you can thread your cord to route it inside the jacket to your awaiting ears. This pocket also inverts to serve as a stuffsack for the jacket when you need to get it put away. The body of the Helium is artfully cut, gusseted, and darted to provide an athletic fit so that it feels great when you're riding -- no bunching or creeping.

Endura Photon Jacket - Men's Constantly changing weather is part of cycling, and the Men's Endura Photon Jacket has been designed for those swift moving mountain or valley rain storms that can blow in on a moment's notice. Ultra compact, the Photon easily fits in a jersey pocket. But its light weight doesn't mean the Photon compromised weather protection. In fact, the Photon's 2.5-layer laminated fabric is waterproof, thanks to a membrane in the fabric. This not only blocks rain--the membrane is permeable and will allow your perspiration to pass through. The result is a dry core which means you'll be warmer and more comfortable, both riding and sipping coffee afterward. Wide, elastic cuffs offer a windproof seal between gloves and the jacket. An inner storm flap with wrap over zip guard won't let nasty head winds seep in, either. The Endura Photon Men's Jacket has one large rear pocket for storage, and it comes with a stuff sack. Fox Racing Downpour Jacket - Men's If you live in a mountain town, you've heard some over-the-hill local say 'if you don't like the weather here, just wait five minutes' and then cackle like they just came up with it. It's a mountain town cliche, but there actually is some truth to it. Mountains affect the clouds and the air currents, causing the weather to be unpredictable. Because of this, it's always a good idea to carry a rain jacket when you head into the backcountry, even if it's sunny. With a 10,000mm waterproof rating and strategic venting, the Fox Racing Downpour Jacket is much more than a typical light rain jacket. You may not use it ten rides in a row, but when the clouds open up on that eleventh ride, you'll be happy that it's tucked away in your pack.Fox started with a tough, 4-way stretch fabric so you would never experience that binding feeling that you get when you max out the fabric on a regular jacket. This stretch property also makes the jacket tougher, because it gives where other fabrics would tear. Then Fox added a durable water repellent treatment to give the Downpour a full 10,000mm waterproof rating. Fox also taped the seams, a common weak area for waterproofing, to completely seal out the weather. The hood is removable so it won't flap around behind you when it's not in use, and Fox designed it to fit under your helmet so it's snug and won't enter your field of vision. Hook-and-loop cuff adjustments seal off your cuffs from rain and drafts, and will work with any type of glove that you happen to be using. The hand pockets are closed with waterproof zippers to keep your valuables safe when it really starts coming down. You'll want to dump heat quickly if it starts warming up inside the Downpour Jacket. To that end, Fox provided underarm vents and a vented back panel that won't allow rain in but will let heat out.

Giordana Forma Red Zero Jacket When you were a kid, how often did you visualize yourself riding through a snow storm' Maybe sometimes after you watched Hinault winning his one and only Paris-Roubaix. Maybe. Probably most of us were most often imagining ourselves on super hot, super sunny days hammering it up Alp d' Huez. But cycling is not a fair-weather sport alone, and we all grew to realize and accept that to excel in the sport, we have to be willing to go out on our bikes in all sorts of weather. The Giordana FormaRed Zero Jacket is designed to make your winter training not only more comfortable, but more possible even during the coldest days. The FormaRed Zero jacket has been made to provide ultimate warmth without the typical bulk of multiple layers, and even borrows from aerospace technology to redefine the possibilities of insulation in cycling clothing. Just in case you are wondering, the "zero" in the product name of the FR-Zero was chosen to communicate that this jacket -- and every product within the FormaRed Zero collection - is among the warmest Giordana makes. In general Giordana stays away from applying temperature ranges for their items simply because they have found it to be very much a question of individual comfort. So instead of providing ranges, they have chosen to designate a warm-warmer-warmest scale. Having said that, the FR-Zero jacket will certainly keep the wearer warm in temperatures well below zero degrees Fahrenheit -- and they do mean Fahrenheit. The FR-Zero Jacket has both a shell and a removable insulating vest that zips in. You'll notice immediately both how lightweight and incredibly warm both pieces are. The inner removable vest is made from a Sympatex Relfexion fabric which has a thin aluminum layer bonded to its membrane that is claimed to reflect back 75% of body heat. The inherent heat-reflecting properties result in up to 3.6 degrees Celsius less heat loss through the jacket.

Giordana FormaRed Carbon Compactible Wind Jacket Giordana takes the wind jacket to unseen thin-ness with their FormaRed Carbon Compactable Wind Jacket. Why thin' Thinner compacts better; this is important because a measure of a wind jacket is how easily you can stuff it. And this one stuffs easily; it even has an interior mesh pocket into which the entire jacket stuffs if you want it to be a super-compressed single item. The pocket is 3" x 4" and is found stitched to the right inside seam near the waist. It has a drawstring and even when the jacket is inside the pouch, it can be compressed further, down to the size of a tennis ball. Cool note about the pocket; the jacket can dry itself out while stuffed into its pocket. A Large weighs in at a mere 100 grams.Wind jackets are different than rain jackets. They're windproof, breathable, and water-resistant. You can wear it in the rain, but it will eventually soak through. Not everyone sees this as a problem. Many prefer this to a full-on rain jacket in moderate temperatures because they find wind jackets don't retain as much heat when going hard. No reason to have a waterproof jacket if the proof is taking a shower on the inside. But the jacket is about more than being thin. It's about fitting well. It is designed to fit in the riding position; great for aerodynamics and for reducing or even eliminating that distracting flapping that too many wind jackets have. It isn't a running jacket repurposed; it's a riding jacket first and only. 11 panels in all cut to fit you right when your chin is hitting your stem as you scrabble onto the last wheel of that winning break. The jacket might tug a bit at the shoulders when you're standing tall, but it fits great when hunkered down on the drops. The Giordana FormaRed Carbon Compactable Wind Jacket has a mesh liner at the collar for comfort. The zipper is a cam-lock for both ease and security. Behind the zipper is a draft flap to keep the wind from seeping through the zipper. The cuffs and hem are closed with elastic.

Giordana FormaRed Carbon Light Jacket If you're looking for a single jacket to take you through the winter, this could well be it. The Giordana FormaRed Carbon Lightweight Jacket is a workhorse. A stylish workhorse that is new and yet quite familiar. We're thinking this could be the ticket for sub-freezing days through the mid-40s. As much as we love our Fugujack, it's too warm for a tempo ride in 35-degree weather. This top could definitely keep us warm without bathing us in sweat. And when you compare this to Giordana's standard FormaRed Jacket, the same holds true: This version is more comfortable at slightly warmer temps.A classic winter jacket design is one with a windproof chest, mostly windproof arms, and a breathable back. In the bad old days, this type of jacket was created by stitching nylon panels to the outside of a wool jacket. The chest worked out ok, but the arms were either given so much material as to be flapping in the wind, or so tight, you could barely bend your arms. The FormaRed Carbon Lightweight Jacket embraces these conventions, but with a totally modern take. The chest and most of the arms are made of Giordana's Versatect fabric. This is a thin, lightweight, flexible elastic breathable waterproof and windproof fabric. So it stretches and conforms and feels good even when keeping the elements from moving through the jacket. The folks at Vagotex, makers of Windtex, have found a way to make their membrane much more elastic than it's been in the past, which explains the upgrade by Giordana. The reverse cam-lock zipper has a draft flap behind it so nothing can flow through there. The inner-arm panels and back panels are made of Moovix HD, a winter-weight spandex-type material that has great loft but is still pretty light and wicks very well. It has a controlled stretch that can help with a little compression in the arms and across the back, offering your muscles greater support. The hems have elastic inside them, keeping them close to the body.

Utilizing three very different layers, HD44 Light works in symbiosis to block out the rain, wind, and cold, all the while retaining a light weight design that releases excess heat and moisture. How does it do this' Well, it's easier to explain than to perform. To start, the outer-layer has been grandfathered in from the days of Body Clone technology. This HD44 fabric plays host to multiple functions, foremost being its aerodynamics. The 44 in HD44 refers to the number of threads per square centimeter in the material. Needless to say, this is an extremely compact weave, and while this deflects exterior elements and increases smooth airflow, it also promotes a rapid transfer of moisture away from the skin. To further its level of protection, Giordana gave it a DWR treatment at every point of the jacket. Residing just underneath HD44 is a windproof and water-resistant WindTex membrane. This semi-permeable membrane works to keep the water off and to push the sweat out. It also regulates the internal temperature, allowing excess heat to escape. This is possible only because it's so effective at blocking the wind and rain. Essentially, in the pseudo-scientific sense, the space between your skin and the fabric becomes a vacuum-like micro climate that's easier to control. Now, to round out the third element in Giordana's trifecta of protection is the HD22 material. This fabric lays on the skin, and for good reason.

Giordana FormaRed Carbon Men's Jacket The Giordana FormaRed Carbon Jacket is designed to get you through the heart of the bitter, cold winter. This is no spring jacket. The FormaRed Carbon keeps you warm in the coldest temperatures. Its design eliminates the typical bulk of traditional insulated jackets to maximize your freedom of movement and superior aerodynamics. Giordana constructed the FormaRed Carbon jacket from the multi-layer Triguard fabric. Comprised of three layers, Triguard starts with a wind-resistant outer-layer. Both smooth and similar in texture to softshell, the outer-layer acts as a barrier between you and frigid winds. Situated between the inner-lining and shell is a WindTex membrane. While WindTex does aid in wind-protection, contrary to its name, the primary role of WindTex in Triguard is as a water repellent. The thin layer blocks seepage from the shell, keeping the skin dry without obstructing the transfer of vapor and sweat. Against the skin, Triguard uses a soft, polypropylene pile material called Dryarn to both insulate and wick away moisture. It works hand-in-hand with the cut in order to capture air above the skin. However, it draws perspiration out to the surface of the jacket in order to maintain a consistent internal temperature. Altogether, the material provides complete protection from the wind, water, and cold. And while the fabrics of the FormaRed jacket are superb, the fit is what makes it Giordana. As Giordana puts it, the FormaRed is simple without being basic. It features a slim cut that guarantees ideal insulation. And to make certain that you have a full freedom of movement in or out of the saddle, the FormaRed uses a multi-panel, cycling specific construction. Further aiding the cut are the addition of stretch panels of WindTex along the ribs. Not only providing a malleable shape to the jacket, the stretch panels are also highly breathable and contribute to the jacket's thermo-regulation.

Giordana Fusion Men's Jacket Contrary to common ideologies, the strong don't always survive -- sometimes fortune favors the well-prepared. And if you're donning the Giordana Fusion Men's Jacket this winter, this will be you. Combining a legendary, anatomic cut with a well-planned, deliberate fabric selection, the Fusion jacket will keep you riding comfortably through the drudgery of winter. Giordana constructed the Fusion jacket from the multi-layer Corsa fabric. Comprised of three layers, Corsa starts with a wind-resistant outer-layer. Both smooth and similar in texture to softshell, the outer-layer acts as a barrier between you and frigid winds. Situated between the inner-lining and shell is a WindTex membrane. While WindTex does aid in wind-protection, contrary to its name, the primary role of WindTex in Corsa is as a water repellent. The thin layer blocks seepage from the shell, keeping the skin dry without obstructing the transfer of vapor and sweat. Against the skin, Corsa uses a high-loft, soft-brushed material to both insulate and wick away moisture. It works hand-in-hand with the cut in order to capture air above the skin. However, it draws perspiration out to the surface of the jacket in order to maintain a consistent internal temperature. Altogether, the material provides complete protection from the wind, water, and cold. And while the fabrics of the Fusion jacket are superb, the fit is what makes it Giordana. As Giordana puts it, the Fusion is simple without being basic. It features a slim cut that guarantees an ideal insulation. And to make certain that you have a full freedom of movement in or out of the saddle, the Fusion uses a multi-panel, cycling specific construction. Further aiding the cut are the addition of stretch panels along the ribs. Not only providing a malleable shape to the jacket, the stretch panels are also highly breathable and contribute to the jacket's thermo-regulation.

Giordana Hydroshield Taped Rain Jacket Many cyclists we know whine about the rain. It's wet! Whatever. Get used to it. If you ride, you're going to have to ride in the rain someday. Some days, you're starting in the wet and riding into dry or starting in the dry and riding into rain. Rain happens. Sometimes all day for days on end. Get yourself a good rain jacket; you'll bemoan the price until you use it, then you'll be happy you bought it every time rain is forecast. Giordana's Hydroshield Taped Rain Jacket is one you'll want, as it is not only breathable, but it packs small.Breathability is owed to the material. It's called Sentry. Like many other jackets, it's a laminate. Unlike other laminates, it possesses no pores. Rather than having micro pores that can potentially stretch and crack from use or get plugged up by salts and oil and dirt, the seemingly "solid" membrane actually uses its molecular structure to suck in vapor and pull it through the other side and out. And, as the name implies, the seams are taped to make sure water doesn't leak through. Also thanks to the material, it is thin and light. It packs into the chest pocket just by turning the jacket inside out and stuffing. This pocket is designed to be big enough for an mp3 player and even has an interior port so you can run wires through the mesh side of the pocket up to your ears. The fit of the jacket is close to minimize wind drag and the rustling that can occur when jackets flap in the wind. There is some stretch to Sentry, but it's more on the bias than directly horizontal or vertical. The front zipper is waterproof and is protected from your clothes by an interior draft flap. The jacket is finished for both comfort and safety. There is elastic at the wrists and waist to gather the jacket and keep water from running up inside. The hip regions on the jacket have stretch panels in Ametista fabric to keep the fit close. There are reflective strips on the back of the hips and behind the neck for visibility.

Giordana Silverline Jacket How to define the Giordana Silverline Jacket' It's high tech, performance-oriented, and in many ways beyond state-of-the-art. The WindTex Corsa material that constitutes the majority of this garment has been a staple of racing teams for years, one they're still utilizing, despite the fact that newer materials have cropped up.The Silverline Jacket is a bargain while still being a great piece for winter riding. The Corsa fabric, which is waterproof/windproof/breathable is great as an outer layer on cold days; it's even brushed on the inside for a little extra warmth. Aiding in the fit and function are Super Roubaix panels on the back, down the sides, and under the arms. Super Roubaix is a brushed nylon-spandex frequently seen in arm warmers, helping both with fit and evaporation. The chest panels, the majority of the arm panels, and the two big back panels are Corsa for warmth (the spearhead down the middle is Super Roubaix). It works great as a warm-up/cool-down piece for races. But more importantly, it's a winter jacket for the daily grind. Pretty much any time it's below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, you'll want something that's windproof for your chest. If you're going on an easy endurance ride, this jacket is the ticket from 40 on down. The colder it gets, the more you'll layer up inside -- something the generous cut of the jacket allows rather easily. For racing, even at freezing temperatures, this may be too warm. The Silverline Jacket has all the hallmarks of the Giordana line. The zipper has an easy-to-grab rubber pull tab which works great even when wearing gloves, and there is a draft flap behind the zipper as well. The tops of the pockets are finished with reflective piping. The Giordana logos on the chest and arms are also reflective. It's available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and in three colors -- Black, Blue/black, and Red/black.

Giordana Silverline Men's Jacket A jacket that's well-suited for the challenges of winter riding must provide three things: protection from the elements, a snug but flexible fit, and high breathability. The Giordana Silverline Men's Jacket provides these things and more. Count it as a superb choice among the growing number of soft shells that provide surprising rain and wind protection, while managing to feel more like long-sleeve jerseys than jackets. Up front and on the sides, Giordana gave the Silverline its Corsa fabric, a 3-layer knit with a WindTex membrane, protective outer layer, and soft inner layer. This fabric shields you from the wind and rain, while allowing body-produced moisture to evaporate. It's soft against the skin, and the outer layer has a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) finish for added weatherproofing. The finish will retain its protective abilities through innumerable washes. For the underarm and back panels, Giordana used SuperRoubaix fabric, which has micro-fleece on the inside to help you retain body heat. Finally, the collar and the cuffs use ThermoDream fabric, which is both soft and stretchy. The Silverline Men's Jacket has a tall collar that seals out the elements, and a silicone gripper at the hem to keep the jacket from riding up when you've in the drops. Three rear cargo pockets offer plenty of room for your gear, and two high-visibility reflective strips surround the pockets so that you are sure to be seen when it's dark out. Giordana is perhaps best known for blending high function with Italian style, and the Silverline is no exception to this formula. The single chest stripe gives it a classic look that we appreciate. The Giordana Silverline Men's Jacket comes in sizes Small through 3XL and in three color options: Black/black/white, Blue/black/white, and Red/black/white.

Giordana Trade Corsa Windtex Jacket Riding in the winter doesn't require excessive layers to keep rolling. Suit up in a Giordana Trade Corsa Windtex Jacket for a single-layer victory against the frosty air. Representing three of the biggest names in European cycling, the Trade Corsa Jacket acts as a declaration of infatuation as you push your way up a snowy climb. Eddie Merckx, Pinarello, and Giordana Trade Jackets each have their own design to represent the brand that you love either riding in or on. And though the design of each jacket is eye catching, it's the construction that'll keep you donning this jacket for all of your cold weather riding. Giordana's new three-layer Corsa fabric is used predominantly throughout the jacket to provide the ultimate in protection against the elements. The outer most layer is wind-resistant and has been given a DWR treatment to repel water. The mid-layer, a Windtex membrane, keeps wind and water from finding it's way through the fabric. Additionally, the membrane regulates temperature with its high breathability and moisture wicking abilities. The soft-brushed inner-layer comfortably insulates and retains core-generated warmth. For heightened breathability, the back panels, pockets, and underarms have been made from the SuperRoubaix fabric. A tall collar keeps cold air from chilling your neck when fully zipped. Giordana also included a full-length zipper for on-the-fly ventilation. And to keep cold air and rain from sneaking in during long descents or downpours, the zipper has been backed with a Corsa zipper flap. The jacket comes equipped with three rear pockets to house all of your ride essentials. Giordana has also provided a single zipper pocket to keep your ID and credit card safely stashed away. The Giordana Trade Corsa Windtex Jacket is available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and in the colors Giordana Red/black, Eddy Merckx Black/red/white, and Pinarello Black/white.

Giordana Trade FormaRed Carbon Custom Jacket Giordana's FormaRed Carbon line represents the very best that the Italian manufacturer has to offer. Talk to any devoted follower, and the one thing that person is bound to preach about is the fit. FR-C clothes allow total freedom of movement while fitting like second skin--a feature attributed to many apparel items but only realized to the fullest extent in a select group. The FR-C Custom Jacket has that superior body-contouring fit, along with light, breathable fabrics that block out the elements while keeping you from overheating. And it's available in two bold graphic options. This all allows you to ride as if the miserable weather conditions around you are just a minor inconvenience on your way to getting the jump on next year's competition. The two fabrics making up the majority of the FR-C Custom Jacket are HD44 and HD44 Light. 'HD' stands for high-density, and 44 represents the number of threads used in the yarn. That density increases the sweat-wicking capabilities of the fabric. Both HD44 and HD44 Light are three-layer fabrics that include a windblocking, but breathable, WindTex membrane and an inner layer of soft, sweat-wicking fleece that has both an antibacterial treatment and a Lycra component for added stretch. The outer surfaces of these fabrics receive a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) treatment for protection against rain. Giordana chose its soft, insulated, and shape-retaining Super Roubaix-Carbon fabric for the underarms, rear panel, pockets, cuffs, and inside the collar. The FR-C Custom Jacket has an ergonomically shaped tall collar that seals out the elements but doesn't restrict your head movements. The full-length, locking zipper is concealed using Giordana's AeroFix guard, ensuring that you remain aerodynamic in the wind.

Giordana Triseason Wind Jacket Wind jackets are four-season items, in our opinion. When done right, they're a thin, stowable exterior layer that extends the temperature range of your clothing. On a summer afternoon, it's enough to ward off an evening chill or give you some protection from cool air after summiting a 2,500-meter peak for the drop back to earth. On a winter morning, it can go over a thermal jersey until your body is warmed up or the thermometer has started reaching upward. The Triseason Wind Jacket from Giordana is, despite the name, a four-season jacket. The jacket is made from Giordana's Sentry Light material. It's similar to their waterproof Sentry fabric, but thinner, lighter (a mere 35g per square meter), and more breathable. That doesn't mean it can't be used as a rain jacket, just as one that can keep light drizzles at bay (doesn't have taped seams, doesn't have the extra membrane), and will remain windproof when it's wet. There's a school of thought that when riding hard, the extra breathability of a wind jacket is preferable, as you're less likely to overheat. The jacket, beyond its material selection, vents by design. There are exhaust vents on the shoulders, and the front zipper has a rubberized pulltab that is there to remind you to adjust the zipper as necessary. The jacket is finished with light elastic at the wrists and waist, along with Ametista stretch hip panels that keep the jacket on your body and not flapping around. There are also reflective strips sewn into seams behind the neck and alongside the hips for better visibility. There's a tiny pocket in the inside back that doubles as a stuff sack. Look closely at the White version from the back and you can see it under the Giordana logo. The Giordana Triseason Wind Jacket comes in Black and White. The Giordana logos are made of rubber and stitched onto the garment. Sizes run from Small to XXX-Large.

Giordana Triseason Wind Vest We use a vest year round. It packs smaller than a jacket and it takes care of the most essential wind blocking; protecting the chest from cold air. The one thing that bugs us about vests is that, despite all the paneling that we can find in cycling clothing, vests are usually pretty simple, and, between the cut and the typically non-stretchy windproof material, kind of baggy. This is where the Giordana Triseason Wind Vest differs most dramatically from the norm. There is extensive paneling, resulting in a closer, quieter, more aero fit. There are panels all the way around the vest. You can see that there are shoulder panels, side panels, and back panels. There is a stretchy mesh panel in the middle of the back as well as stretchy Ametista panels on the hips. All of these keep the vest close, as does the elastic at the waist, and the elastic at the armholes. The vest is made from Giordana's Sentry Light material. It's similar to their waterproof Sentry fabric, but thinner, lighter (a mere 35g per square meter), and more breathable, while remaining windproof. There's a tiny pocket in the inside back that doubles as a stuff sack. Look closely at the White version from the back and you can see it under the Giordana logo. The Giordana Triseason Wind Vest comes in Black and White. There is a rubberized pull-tab on the zipper to make opening and closing the zip easier. There are reflective strips behind the neck and along the hips. The Giordana logos are made of rubber and stitched onto the garment. Sizes run from Small to XXX-Large.

This material adheres to Gore's rigorous standards of lightweight, windproof, waterproof, and breathable construction. We understand that this is a tall order, but Gore alone has proven itself capable of commanding such absolutes. Enough so, that we can't really tell you exactly how Gore-Tex works, because it's easily the closest guarded secret in the fabric business. What we do know is that you'll never be dryer, regardless of how bad the weather is.The multi-layer fabric design allows high breathability and well regulated moisture transfer away from the skin to the outer-layer of the jacket. Gore Bike Wear ALP-X 2.0 SO Zip-Off Jacket For rough weather conditions, the hard shell jacket sounds like the right tool for the job, at least on paper. You'll find quickly, however, that your hard shell is hot and clammy. That's because it just isn't breathable enough for the kind of work you're doing on a bicycle. All that vapor (and you're making a lot of vapor) is trapped inside the jacket and suddenly you're wearing a steam room. The hard shell fabric also flaps around like crazy on any downhill and it just doesn't feel very soft and comfortable. This is where a softshell jacket like the Gore Bike Wear ALP-X 2.0 SO Zip-Off Jacket really shines. Softshell fabric is ultra-breathable and allows your body to regulate its temperature naturally without trapping heat and moisture against your skin. Gore's soft shell fabric is also stretchy so it's able to give the Alp-X a more athletic cut that not only makes layering easier, but doesn't flap around every time you bury the needle. The ALP-X 2.0 SO Zip-Off Jacket is constructed of WindStopper Soft Shell fabric. WindStopper Soft Shell is soft, stretchy, breathable, and body-contouring. It fits and breathes like a comfortable mid-layer, yet it offers a level of water and wind resistance that approaches the protection afforded by a hard-shell jacket. Gore Bike Wear gave the ALP-X its Slim Fit, which means that it contours the body closely to ensure aerodynamics and proper moisture management. Strategically placed stretch panels eliminate binding and add durability. Additionally, the elbows are pre-shaped so that there's no restrictive tugging when you reach for the handlebars. The jacket has a subtle drop tail for full coverage and to protect the seat of your pants from wheel spray. It also has a shaped collar to ensure neck comfort. The zipper is supplied with an underflap and garage to keep it tucked away nicely when the jacket is fully zipped. If you find yourself overheating during hard efforts, you can ventilate through two side zips.

Gore Bike Wear Alp-X AS Light Men's Jacket Whenever nasty weather pops up, pull the Gore Bike Wear Alp-X AS Light Jacket out of your pack for dedicated coverage. Completely windproof and breathable, the WindStopper Alp-X sheds the elements, while it also packs into its own stow pocket for convenient carrying. Gore Bike Wear's Alp-X AS Light Jacket is made from Gore's patented WindStopper fabric. As its name implies, Windstopper provides an absolute level of protection against the wind, defining itself as utterly windproof. However, what you don't take away from the title is that this material is also water-resistant. Now, it's worth noting that Gore's designation of 'water-resistant' is superior to other manufacturers' insistence of 'waterproof.' This combination of attributes falls inline with what Gore calls its Outfit System. Within this system, there are three layers of apparel with three specific functions. The first layer is for moisture management, the second layer controls thermo-regulation, and the third layer, such as this jacket, provides weather protection. Accordingly, Windstopper will repel water, shed snow, and block out any wind, all while remaining highly breathable. And although the Alp-X is made for mountainous touring, you're going to have to ride home at some point. Which is why Gore included reflective piping and accents throughout the jacket. Additionally, Gore included a full-length front zipper with an under-flap that eliminates wind from sneaking through. You'll also find that a zip-port has been added in order to mitigate irritation against the skin. The Alp-X AS Light Jacket has pre-shaped elbows and an ergonomically shaped collar for a natural feel. Gore even gave the Alp-X abrasion-resistant prints on the shoulders in order to resist wear from backpacks. However, aside from the aforementioned, our favorite feature of the jacket is its light overall weight.

This soft shell effectively blocks chilly head winds while allowing perspiration and excess heat to escape. Its cut is somewhat generous, so it's not as tight as a traditional long-sleeve jersey, which means you can comfortably wear it lounging around a campfire post ride. The hem is equipped with an abrasion-resistant elastic to help prevent the Countdown from migrating while pedaling. All panels are joined with flat-lock seams to prevent irritation or hot spots from pack straps. There are two zipped hand warmer pockets with an audio port for safe routing of your ear buds. The Countdown SO Hoodie comes in Red, Pool Blue, or Petrol Blue, and sizes Small through XX-Large

Gore Bike Wear Countdown SO Light Men's Jacket Believe us, we hear the claims of 'windproof' and 'waterproof' thrown around more than we're able to stomach. And in our opinions, there are only a handful of manufacturers that're actually capable of supporting these claims. First and foremost on the list is Gore Bike Wear. Yes, the same Gore that's behind the Windstopper and Gore-Tex materials. So, if going straight to the source is your modus operandi, we recommend Gore's Countdown SO Light Jacket for your spring/summer all-mountain riding. Gore used its venerable Windstopper Soft Shell fabric. Due to its polyester composition, the material remains soft against the skin, while also providing complete freedom of movement. After all, Windstopper is essentially a lightweight inner-membrane of the polyester fabric. So, when coupled with the anatomic, countered cut of the jacket, you'll find that the Countdown provides a fit that's free of any pinching, bunching, or chafing while in the saddle. In fact, this lends itself directly to the pronounced ideology of the Countdown line -- all-mountain versatility. Gore designed this jacket to provide both protection and comfort throughout various terrain and riding styles.

Gore Bike Wear Phantom 2.0 SO Jacket When it comes to winter, you need all of the protection that you can get. But, what if that go-to winter jacket could also keep you covered in the fall and spring without causing heat exhaustion' A novel idea, indeed. However, Gore already beat us to it with its Phantom 2.0 SO Jacket. When the weather permits, you can wear it as a full jacket, but while in more temperate conditions, the sleeves are removable for the perfect amount of coverage. One jacket to rule them all. To provide the utmost protection from the elements, Gore constructed its Phantom 2.0 jacket from a sophisticated blend of fabrics. Each region has been thoughtfully considered, and because of this, the Phantom 2.0 is equal parts protection, comfort, and flexible. Starting with the body of the jacket, Gore used its patented Windstopper Soft Shell membrane. As its name suggests, this material makes the jacket 100% windproof. However, the name doesn't allude to its water-resistance or high breathability. That's right, with the comfort and weight of a mid-layer, and the protection of a shell, this material will keep you dry from both the rain and your own sweat. And while the material is extremely malleable, Gore also incorporated integrated stretch panels into the Phantom 2.0. This permits a full range of movement, whether you're stretched over the hoods or reaching down into the drops. If that's not enough stretch for you, Gore enabled you to remove the raglan-cut sleeves. But, that would be an extreme measure, as the detachable sleeves primarily add to the jacket's versatility. Even better, when the sleeves are removed, the Phantom displays soft, protective short sleeves that guarantee coverage from the elements. Now, you can stretch the Phantom 2.0 out over multiple seasons. Going even further into protective design features, Gore included a zippered underflap at the rear hem to protect you from wheel-spray on wet days.

Gore Bike Wear Phantom SO Jacket - Men's Cycling often involves varying climates and conditions throughout a ride. Your body also experiences temperature fluctuations as you transition from climbing to descending. To say cycling jackets need to be versatile is an understatement. The Gore Bike Wear Phantom SO Jacket uses smart features like removable sleeves and Windstopper technology to keep your core protected and comfortable on early- or late-season rides. The Windstopper soft shell fabric is a single-layer laminate that's similar to Gore-Tex, but instead of being fully waterproof, it favors wind protection and breathability. This offers excellent comfort during cool-weather, highly aerobic activities. The shell is treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating for protection from light drizzles or road spray -- if you're looking for waterproofness, then check out jackets equipped with the Gore-Tex membrane . Windstopper shines on cold rides when you plan on going hard and perspiring heavily. The fabric is soft against exposed arms, and quickly pulls perspiration from a baselayer and your skin. This keeps your core dry and helps the body regulate temperature so you can ride at max output without overheating or suffering from biting headwinds. A jacket's material is one contributing factor to its ability to offer user comfort, but it's not the only one. Gore Bike Wear goes to great lengths to ensure that the fit is precise and function is intuitive and simple to use while riding. You'll find the Phantom Jacket to have a slim, performance-oriented fit to prevent flapping in the wind, but you won't find it restrictive. Gore added stretch inserts for freedom of movement, no matter where you find yourself positioned on the bicycle. The Phantom's detachable, articulated sleeves also add to on-the-bike comfort by providing full coverage when stretched out in the drops. The best part is you can easily remove the sleeves, via a zip, and stash them in the slanted, easy-to-access side pockets.

Gore Bike Wear Tool SO Jacket - Men's The Gore Tool Jacket can function as a single layer defense against cold weather on the bike or as a casual jacket about town. The secret to its versatility is the Gore Windstopper Soft Shell fabric. In a world of purpose specific clothing, it's nice to know that you could have something that performs great on the bike and lets you blend in with the civilians when you're afoot. It's looser fitting than the Xenon SO Jacket, but doesn't flap in the breeze -- Gore still considers it a slim fit garment. The Soft Shell stretches and moves with your body so even if you layer underneath it, you won't feel bound by the fabric. The sleeves are pre-articulated to accommodate a natural, relaxed bend at the elbows, and the tall collar has an ergonomic design with a captured drawcord that can be adjusted in or out with one hand.Due to the effectiveness of the Windstopper membrane, the folks at Gore have included some zippered vents under the arms to give you the ability to moderate your temperature. Perhaps the only details that give the Tool Jacket away as a cycling piece are the standard three pockets on the back. The outer two are angled down towards the outsides for easier access to your stash. And a zippered fourth pocket is semi-hidden on the middle pocket. It provides secure storage for credit cards or keys that you wouldn't want to jiggle out mid-ride. There's also a zippered Napoleon pocket on the left breast. The Gore Tool Jacket is available in Black/black, Golden Green/black, and Red/black and comes in five sizes from Small to XX-Large. The tail is cut a tad longer to accommodate your position on the bike, and the lower hem and sleeve cuffs are bound with a simple and comfortable Lycra band. Reflective elements on the shoulders, back, and forearms will help keep you visible to motorists in low light situations.

Gore Bike Wear Xenon 2.0 AS Jacket When it comes to year-round, outer-layer protection from the elements, no Gore Bike Wear garment is more celebrated than the Xenon 2.0 AS Jacket. The latest edition of the award winning design is Gore's lightest, packable road jacket. The Xenon 2.0 AS uses patented materials and an ergonomically shaped fit to provide breathable protection wind, snow, and rain. If you demand the best from your gear, it doesn't get much better than this. Gore Bike Wear's Xenon 2.0 AS Jacket features a multi-panel construction made from Gore's patented WindStopper Active fabric. As its name suggests, WindStopper Active is windproof, but it's also water-resistant, and highly breathable. The lack of penetrating elements and partial mesh lining provide total insulation for the torso, which is further enhanced by the Xenon's innovative collar and bottom hem. Working in tandem, the ergonomically designed snap-insert collar and partially-elastic gripper hem keep the jacket closer to the body, and thus no air gets in while excessive heat and moisture are easily evacuated to the outer-surface. For extra ventilation, the jacket offers a full-length, semi-locking zipper and sleeves that are designed to roll-up. The Xenon 2.0 AS also features an elongated back for wheel spray protection on wet roads, and a reflective treatment on the front, rear, and sides of the jacket for safer night riding. The Gore Bike Wear Xenon 2.0 AS Jacket is available in sizes from Small to XX-Large, and in the colors Black, Red/black, and White/black.

Hincapie Sportswear Caravel Jacket Riding in a fill-jacket is, well, non-traditional to say the least. Then again, Hincapie Sportswear couldn't be further from a cookie-cutter apparel maker. However, regardless of the back story, the Caravel Jacket works. We wouldn't recommend riding a century in it, but a quick ride to the cafe for a coffee date is certainly on the agenda for the Caravel. To achieve this balance between lifestyle and sport, Hincapie had to rethink the basic principles of 'down jacket' technology. Accordingly, it realized that not only was traditional down non-applicable for the task of riding, but so were most synthetics. This led Hincapie to the door step of two overlooked materials -- Gossamer E5 Micro Ripstop and Eco2sy. The E5 fabric is what comprises the exterior of the Caravel, and if your nautical history is up to snuff, the material and jacket name begin to correlate. E5 Micro features a water- and wind-resistant coating that, if you were on one of the 15th century Portuguese Caravel vessels, would have been a godsend. Fun fact, the Caravel also plays to Big George's Portuguese lineage. However, back on track, this material was developed to stave off light rains and heavy winds. It's also highly breathable, and with its key attribute of resistance to ripping and puncturing, you won't have to worry about being that sloppy guy on the train car with his winter jacket duct taped together. This leads us to the next material, Eco2sy. Hincapie used this for the jacket's fill in order to maximize its insulation properties. However, unlike many natural and synthetic fills, Eco2sy features a feathery light weight and malleable composition. In fact, this material is a key contributor to the Caravel's ultra-low 47 gram construction, and its ability to be packed into a jersey pocket. Even better, Eco2sy is a recycled material -- providing the warm fuzzies that are most likely absent from your wardrobe.

Maloja EricM. Jacket - Men's Maloja may not be a household name in the States, but this European garment manufacturer is quickly gaining steam due to its attention to detail. The EricM. Jacket is a perfect example of Maloja's dedication to developing cycling-specific gear that breaks the traditional mold while offering highly technical features. One such feature is the EricM's soft Lycra fabric -- its inside is actually sanded. It also helps to retain heat once you're pointed downhill. To prevent unpleasant odors, the fabric is treated to an antimicrobial finish so you don't stink after a long day on the saddle. The EricM. features articulated sleeves and a cut that's optimized for the cycling position. Mavic Helium H2O Jacket - Men's The Mavic Helium H2O Jacket is lighter than most jerseys, but still provides water-resistant breathable protection that can save your ride from an untimely end. The Dura Lite SL fabric provides a waterproof level of protection up to 7000mm in the water column. Essentially, this amounts to protection from either light rain or snow. However, with the jacket's fully-sealed seam construction, we predict that it would be capable of withstanding far more. This is why Mavic gave the Helium H2O its Rain Ride classification. On top of being water-resistant, Dura Lite SL is an open-structured, breathable material. However, while excess heat is allowed to escape the core region, Mavic has ensured that nothing is getting in. Thus, you remain shielded from the elements without the sweaty, clammy feeling that less breathable fabrics can give you. Mavic's incorporation of its Ergo Cuffs guarantees a stop to water seepage at the sleeve, while the cut assumes the shape of the body on the bike in order to prevent moisture infiltration at the bottom hem and collar. The jacket also features a full-length asymmetrical zipper that lets you dump heat quickly and won't cause irritation when fully zipped. The Mavic Helium H2O Jacket is available in sizes X-Small to XX-Large and in the colors White or Black.

Mavic Notch H20 Jacket Not everyone lives in arid climates. So, if you hail from a region that's stuck under damp clouds a majority of the time, you'll find Mavic's Notch H20 Jacket to be an essential piece of gear. Its combination of mountain bike-specific features, fully-taped seams, and waterproof construction ensure that you'll stay dry when precipitation joins you for the ride. The Mavic Notch H2O Jacket is small enough to cram into your riding pack, and it features an expandable Pak Bak for the versatility to stretch it over the pack to keep it, and its contents, dry. Mavic's Rain Ride fabric blocks drizzle, yet it's still breathable enough to keep your core dry and cool. Furthering this concept, the Notch's inner layer is comprised of Mavic's soft Air Mesh. Basically, this is a lightweight, open-structured fabric with a high elasticity that follows your movements while also managing thermo-regulation within jacket. This elasticity, along with the Notch H2O's pre-curved, anatomic panels, ensures coverage without sacrificing your freedom of movement. So, you'll find that moving around the cockpit remains an unencumbered process, which, as you know, is vital to finding traction when trails are sloppy. There is one zipped chest pocket, and reflective elements enhance your visibility to motorists when traversing roads. The Mavic Notch H2O Jacket is available in seven sizes from X-Small to XXX-Large and in the colors Athletic Green and Black.

Mavic Sprint H2O Jacket When you've stashed the Mavic Sprint H2O Jacket in a jersey rear pocket, you're ready for wind and rain during any ride. This is due to its Air Mesh fabric, seam sealing, and Ergo Cuffs providing a veritable fortress against nasty weather. The Air Mesh fabric provides a waterproof level of protection up to 9000mm water column. Essentially, this amounts to protection from either light rain or dry snow. However, with the jacket's fully-sealed seam construction, we predict that it's capable of withstanding far more. This is why Mavic has bestowed its coveted Rain Ride classification upon it. And when you think about the title of the fabric, 'Air Mesh,' this level of protection quickly becomes rather incredible. Why' Well, Air Mesh is an open-structured material, meaning that breathability is pronounced. However, while excess heat is allowed to escape the core region, Mavic has ensured that nothing is getting in. Thus, you remain shielded from the elements without becoming overly sweaty as a consequence. In terms of fit, though, the Sprint H2O's anatomic design continues the aforementioned waterproof characteristics. By this, we mean that Mavic's incorporation of its Ergo Cuffs guarantees a stop to water seepage at the sleeve, while the cut itself adapts to the body in order to prevent moisture infiltration at the bottom hem and collar. For a complete closure, the jacket features a full-length zip lets, and for storage of your ride essentials, Mavic also included one chest pockets along with a large rear pocket. The Mavic Sprint H2O Jacket is available in seven sizes from X-Small to XXX-Large and in the colors Boltblue/white and White/black.

Mavic Vision H2O Jacket - Men's Nothing is more important than being seen during foul weather or evening riding (or both at the same time). The Mavic Men's Vision H2O Cycling Jacket protects you from the wind and rain, and it helps you stay more visible in traffic. The Vision H2O is made with a bright fluorescent orange color fabric and wrap-around reflective trim that make you stand out in traffic, even at night. The Dura Rain fabric provides a waterproof level of protection up to 5000mm water column. Essentially, this amounts to protection from either light rain or snow. However, with the jacket's fully-sealed seam construction, we predict that it'll capable of withstanding far more, which is why Mavic gave the Vision H2O its Rain Ride classification. Mavic lined the jacket with Air Mesh, an open-structured, breathable material that allows moisture to escape and promotes airflow through the jacket. This shields you from the outside elements while reducing the sweaty, clammy feeling that less breathable fabrics can give you. To keep water from getting in, Mavic gave the Vision adjustable cuffs that allow you to seal out the rain. A drop tail protects your back either from weather and wheel spray. Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Aero Jacket - Men's How many times have you taken your rain jacket when really all you needed was your wind breaker; or worse, taken your wind breaker when you really needed your rain cape' The Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Aero Jacket will make it so that you no longer need to choose between one or the other form of protection. The Aero Jacket is a highly technical wind jacket with full stretch to eliminate that noisy flapping effect which accompanies a normal wind breaker. But since it is made from the Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell Lite material, it also provides not only amazing protection against rainy weather, but is supremely easy to stuff into your jersey pocket. You may suspect that a jacket which effectively protects you from the wind and rain will also become much too hot and moist on the inside. Fear not, the Aero Jacket will surprise you pleasantly on that score. Direct-Vent panels have been built into the jacket to make sure that any heat buildup can escape quickly. The full length zipper comes with the Pearl Izumi draft flap and zipper garage so that the cold winds will not penetrate through to your under-layers. It also includes a nicely tapered collar which will give the back of your neck a touch more protection while freeing up the space directly below your chin. With your safety in mind, they have included multiple reflective elements to keep you visible even after dusk. The Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Aero Jacket is available in Black/Black, True Red/Black and White/Black color combinations. It comes in sizes X-Small through XX-Large.

Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Barrier Clear Jacket - Men's For those of us who don't treat cycling as an exclusively fair-weather activity, a good rain jacket is essential. A good, packable rain jacket is no less a necessity than a water bottle. The Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Barrier Clear Jacket is the type of jacket that will suit you whether you are training or racing. The fact that it is clear means that it will make you eminently more visible to surrounding drivers than something that is made from a darker color. Surely you'll want to take it along if the skies look like rain, but it is equally effective solely as a wind breaker, so that you won't have to decide between wind or rain protection. The full length zip will make it possible to ventilate for those warmer or semi-dry moments in the ride, while the draft flap makes certain that you won't feel any penetrating cold wind when you do need to have it zipped up all the way. The nylon collar is super soft and comfortable against your skin, and it's made from a rip-stop material which means that it will be ultra durable. Meanwhile, the elasticized hem and cuffs will keep the jacket fitting snuggly and securely. There won't be any concern for wind drafts billowing up your arms or the small of your back. The Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Barrier Clear Jacket comes only in a Clear version, but that means you'll be able to wear it at rainy races since your team kit and your race number will still be visible. It is available in X-Small through XX-Large.

Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell 180 Jacket Lets face it: no one likes to wear a bulky jacket while riding, even when its windy and cold. The Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell 180 Jacket combines highly breathable thermal coverage for the back with wind and water resistant panels on the front to give you big warmth in a slim package.By employing their P.R.O. Softshell fabric with Minerale, Pearl Izumi combines their durable, water and wind resistant Softshell material with the Minerale yarns that are actually porous, increasing the moisture transfer from within the jacket. The wind and rain will stay outside, while you will stay warm and dry inside. You may ask what makes the 180 different from the regular P.R.O. Softshell Jacket. Well, the 180 is intended for drier but still cold days where you don't need waterproof material on your back. Rather the thermal Softshell material on the back will keep your shoulders warm, and the Direct-Vent panels under the arms will provide good ventilation.Pearl Izumi has taken great care to design this jacket to be fitted for a cyclist in an aggressive riding position. Consequently the sleeves are contoured and the hems of the sleeves are shaped to fit snugly around your wrists to keep in the warmth. A one-hand elastic draw cord has also been added to the tall collar so that when the wind is howling in your face as you race down a twisting canyon road, you can seal the neck opening and prevent any wind from swishing down your back. And to make sure that the items you keep in your back pockets are safe, Pearl Izumi gives you three separate compartments within one large zippered back pocket. The zipper pull is easy to handle so youll be able to access the pockets even when youre all gloved up.The Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell 180 Jacket comes with 360 degrees of reflective elements. Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell Jacket How many times have you dressed just a little too lightly for the conditions outside simply because you wanted to avoid wearing your warmest but least comfortable winter riding jacket' Somehow most of the winter-beasts which must incorporate wind, rain and warmth protection also wear like a suit of armor. The Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell Jacket changes all that with its wonderfully comfortable softshell technology which also combines winter clothing necessities: protection from the wind, rain and cold. It comes with contoured sleeves with specially shaped cuffs so that the upper part of the hand is covered by more fabric than is found on the under-wrist. The collar of the jacket is also tapered from the front to the back so that the back of the neck will get the benefit of more coverage while the fabric at the front will not interfere with your helmet strap. It is cleverly designed with a collar tab which will allow you to secure the zipper or even keep the collar closed while you zip down to vent your chest a little. For a winter jacket, ventilation is equally essential as the innovations that keep you warm. The P.R.O. Softshell Jacket has laser cut Direct-Vent panels to keep any heat build-up from turning the interior of your jacket into a veritable sauna. It also come with a full length zipper along with an internal draft flap and garage seal to keep the air from penetrating through to your under shirt. And as the last resort to seal in your body heat, a one hand pull elastic draw cord at the collar will see to it that even on the coldest, wettest days, your neck and back will stay warm and dry. One rear pocket with a zipper has been provided as has a zippered chest pocket which will be perfect for your iPod or phone. Multiple reflective elements have been included on all sides of the jacket, so that you won't have to worry about not being visible if dusk arrives faster than you expected. The Pearl Izumi P.R.O.

Santini Ice Jacket - Men's You make sure you're always prepared for your rides -- pump, tube(s), levers, and mobile phone. But what about the weather' Just as we can't predict the unfortunate mishaps that cause us to grab our repair kits, we also don't know what Mother Nature's hiding up her sleeve. Good thing Santini was thinking ahead when creating its new Ice Jacket, as its light, packable design stays out of the way when the weather's ideal, but jumps into action when the clouds roll in. With the new Ice Jacket, you can ride with your mind at ease, knowing that Santini did its homework when engineering the new lightweight shell. It's constructed from a windproof, water-resistant polyester fabric that provides a great deal of stretch. It's also lightweight, breathable, and highly conforming to the body. Weighing in closer to a jersey than outerwear, the Ice is recommended for temperatures varying from the low 50s to around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This heat tolerance is supported by a few key features. Of course, at the front of the jacket, there's a full-length zipper that's indispensable for dumping heat on-the-fly. Moving to the rear, Santini added its protective wing on the upper back, which is an open-mesh insert that not only assists in the breathing and ventilation of the jacket, but also supports the precise, anatomic fit of the Ice. After all, Santini knows that expensive, technical fabrics are moot when a jacket's fit is off. And in our opinion, fit is where Santini truly breaks off onto its own course. Knowing that the Ice isn't meant for lounging, Santini designed the cut to accommodate your body in the cycling position. What does this mean' Simple. The shape of everything from the seams to the hems are contoured for the cycling-specific position of reaching from the saddle to the bars. And with its stretchable, polyester composition, you'll also experience the fabric conforming to your body, specifically. This system eliminates any bunching or chafing throughout movement.

Santini Kines Jacket Unless you're part of the unfortunate few, like ourselves, that spend half of the year below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, a jacket for subfreezing conditions will melt you on your first climb. In a more temperate climate, the piece that you turned to for protection will soon become your predator. That's why its important to plan accordingly for your conditions. So, if your idea of cold is the low 50s, the Santini Kines Jacket is for you. With a wind-resistant design, a precise, jersey-like fit, and Italian, handmade construction, the Kines jacket blends Santini's rich cycling heritage with contemporary technology. To make the Kines jacket a suitable protector from the elements, Santini constructed it from the wind-resistant, TK fabric. This material has a great deal of stretch, and it's also lightweight, breathable, and highly conforming to the body. Weighing in closer to a jersey than outerwear, the Kines is designed on more of the airy end of the spectrum, with Santini recommending it for temperatures varying from the low 50s to around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This heat tolerance is supported by a few key features. Of course, at the front of the jacket, there's a full-length zipper that's indispensable for dumping heat on-the-fly. Additionally, this zipper has been backed with an internal draft flap to avoid cool air from infiltrating the jacket. And at the side panels and undercarriage of the sleeves, Santini incorporated open-mesh inserts that not only assist in the breathing and ventilation of the jacket, but they also support the precise, anatomic fit of the Kines. After all, Santini knows that expensive, technical fabrics are moot when a jacket's fit is off. And in our opinion, fit is where Santini truly breaks off onto its own course. Knowing that the Kines isn't meant for lounging, Santini designed the cut to accommodate your body in the cycling position. What does this mean' Simple.

Basically, all that we're able to do is prepare accordingly, However, starting the day in a heavy waterproof jacket isn't always an option. Instead, you need a jacket that's lightweight, minimal, and easily packable. And while the Showers Pass ProTech ST Jacket makes an ideal emergency piece when rain joins a training ride, its transparency also let's sponsors get their due exposure during wet races. The ProTech ST is made from a waterproof, yet breathable membrane. And unlike its prior iteration, the ST now features fully-taped seams for complete rain protection. Also new to the ST generation is a progressively more streamlined fit that eliminates any bunching, pinching, or wind-flapping. Additionally, the jacket has a redesigned zipper and wrist cuffs that better prevent water seepage than in the past. You'll find that wheel-spray is better addressed with a longer tail. At the back of the ProTech ST, Showers Pass also redesigned the rear vent. Now, the vent is larger, which increases airflow throughout the jacket. As a result, the internal microclimate of the jacket remains consistent, eliminating unnecessary sweat and humidity. Even better, with all of the new features, the ST still only tips the scales at around five-ounces, making it easily packable in case of emergencies. The Showers Pass ProTech ST Jacket is available in the color Clear and in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large.

This fabric is both waterproof and highly breathable, so you'll be protected for anything from a drizzle to a downpour. While the Skyline's material selection provides an excellent range of motion and breathability, it also gets an added dose of ventilation for comfort during muggy afternoon heat. A full length front zipper, underarm zippers, and a flow-through vent at the back of the neck ensure that you won't have to pullover mid-ride to pull off the Skyline. Showers Pass Transit Jacket - Men's The Pacific Northwest is known for many things; lush forests, meandering coast, and craggy mountains, to name a few. If you've spent time there, however, you know the challenges weather can bring. Showers Pass has spent the last 15 years designing and tweaking cycling-specific gear for this region's unpredictable, and quick-to-change climate -- the Men's Transit Jacket is a shining example of that history and foul-weather knowhow. Combining top-notch fabrics with innovative and functional design elements, the Transit Jacket is optimized for commuting, but is equally functional any time it's raining and you're riding. It's constructed from a 3-layer laminate that combines an inner, wicking fabric, a wind- and water blocking membrane, and a durable, ripstop outer. This offers ample breathability, perspiration wicking, and weather resistance for an enjoyable ride. To seal out the elements, the Transit Jacket is fully seam taped, and features a cinch cord at hem. It is hood compatible, but does not come with one. Using hook-and-loop fasteners, the Showers Pass Rain Hood is designed to be a perfect match to the Transit Jacket and will fit under a helmet. For added versatility and comfort, the jacket features large vents under the arms and across the back to tune airflow. Showers Pass intended the Transit for commuting in bad weather, so its fit is generous to cover street clothes. Because of this, it runs large, so size down if you fall between, or intended to use the jacket with cycling-specific tops. 360 degrees of 3M reflective trim and a light loop on back enhance safety when visibility is low. For storage, there's a chest pocket with media port, and two front pockets. The Showers pass Transit comes in Yellow, Blue, and Black, and sizes X-Small through XX-Large.

Sugoi Firewall 260 Jacket There are a lot of companies out there making cold-weather cycling gear. Sugoi has been going at it for 25 years now, and going strong. Sugois focus is performance. It makes cycling, running and triathlon apparel that simply works better. The Firewall 260 Jacket is a perfect example of this philosophy at work. It isnt about bright, flashy colors or fancy gimmicks. It just works better. The real story here is Sugois exclusive Firewall 260 fabric. Sugoi has come up with a real Jack-of-all-trades fabric for the chilly-weather aerobic-activity crowd. While it isnt Sugois heaviest stretch fabric, it stays dry and comfortable, even in really cold weather, when training intensity really cranks up. There are three tests for a cold weather aerobic shell: breathability, mobility, and moisture management. Firewall passes all three tests with flying colors. Sugois SubZero DWR (Durable Water Repellant) shrugs off light precipitation but leaves Firewall extremely breathable. The four-way mechanical stretch wont limit your range of motion, so you wont feel any of the binding that plagues non-stretch shells. Firewall also wicks moisture away from your skin, so you stay dry without that clammy feeling that some shells suffer from. Sugois designers gave the Firewall 260 Jacket a slim fit. They call it ProFit. This slim fit maximizes the jackets ability to aid in regulating body temperature and managing moisture but, because of its high level of stretch, wont hamper movement. The two zippered front hand pockets are trimmed with a reflective material that makes you more visible to drivers at night. The water-resistant reverse coil zipper also sports this highly visible reflective trim. The hem can be adjusted with dual shock cords, accessed by the front hand pockets to avoid snagging. The Sugoi Firewall 260 Jacket is available in sizes S-XXL and in three colors: Olympian, Gunmetal, and Black.

Wind, rain, snow, and cold are attacking from outside while the body is producing heat and water vapor form within. The body is stuck trying to regulate its temperature from within while all this is going on. The trick is to let the moisture out while keeping the heat in while preventing moisture or cold from penetrating. Sugoi thinks it has the answer with the RS Zero Jacket. The big story here is Sugoi'''s exclusive Firewall 260 fabric. Sugoi has come up with a real Jack-of-all-trades fabric for the chilly-weather aerobic-activity crowd. The North Face MTB Apex Men's Jacket We understand that when you think of The North Face, mountains jump to the front of the mind, but maybe not mountain biking. Dwell on that thought a little longer, and it makes perfect sense. After all, we've been wearing our favorite The North Face jackets in the saddle for years, now. And with the MTB Apex Men's Jacket, The North Face provides more ventilation and a cycling-specific cut. The North Face's MTB Apex Jacket is constructed from the versatile TNF Apex Aerobic fabric -- 'versatile' is the key word in this sentence. This material's stretchy construction is similar to soft shell in both its texture and its ability to allow a full range of movements in or out of the saddle. This freedom has been further enhanced by the Apex's cut. The North Face used a specific, multi-panel approach to ensure that the arms can fully-articulate, and that the back and chest work in unison for torsional movement. An elliptical, adjustable hem has also been placed at the rear for a total coverage from wheel-spray or rain. To protect you from the elements, the TNF material features a natural resistance to wind, but for its resistance to water, The North Face gave it a DWR treatment. This creates a full water-resistance while still maintaining TNF's highly-breathable properties. Though, to dump heat on-the-fly, the Apex has multiple points of ventilation. A mesh yoke cape along the shoulder blades supports this design, as well as ventilated mesh pockets on the chest and side. Working in harmony with the adaptability of the fabric, the vents help maintain a consistent, comfortable temperature within the jacket. The MTB Apex jacket uses a hook-and-loop adjustable cuff system, and has a full-length front zipper. For secure storage of your personal effects, The North Face included a zippered back pocket. Even better, the pocket has infused reflective accents to enhance your presence in low-light conditions.

The North Face Short Track Men's Jacket While you might enjoy the climbs and descents through the turning leaves, the cool fall weather temperatures only favor the prepared. Always there to keep you covered in your sport of the choice, The North Face introduces the Short Track Jacket to keep you protected on all of your cool weather rides. Made with the patented and effective Gore WindStopper fabric, the Short Track Jacket completely deflects the gusts of wind that seem to come from every direction as you ride. For protection from moisture, a DWR layer adds extra protection for when the skies open up but your ride is far from finished. And to keep any chilly air from infiltrating, a soft brushed lining on the collar keeps your neck warm and isolated. To fit you best while you're in the saddle, The North Face cut the jacket with a relaxed and contoured fit. Through this, the Short Track eliminates awkward fabric pulling for a better fitting and feeling jacket. Further along these lines, stretch panels on the underarms and back sides move with you as you ride, while also adding breathability where you need it the most. For warming, elastic binding at the cuffs and hem keeps warmth in and cold winds out. And when your core warmth is all that's need, you can zip off the raglan style sleeves and either stash them in your pack or one of the two zip closure pockets on the back of the jacket. North Race has also lengthened the hem across the back of the jacket to give you extra coverage in muddy terrain. The jacket has a reflective logo that adds visibility so that your riding partners know where you're at on the trail. The North Face Short Track Jacket is available in the colors Black and Red and in four sizes from Small to X-Large.

Zero RH + Adapto Jacket In cycling, the weather often changes faster than the front of the peloton. And just as you would have to react quickly to a shift in the break, so must you as the rain starts to fall, or the road kicks skyward. Enter the Zero RH+ Adapto Jacket, a lightweight and stash-able solution for all 365 days of weather. Starting at the front of the body, Zero RH+ used the ultralight Airdry Gold 150 fabric for its construction. As you might expect from its name, this material is completely windproof, and accordingly, it staves off the main source of winter chills -- headwind. As for the second principle of this fabric, the dry, Airdry Gold 150 uses a three-layer, open knit construction that maintains a high-level of breathability. Essentially, the fabric creates an internal micro climate that is unique to you. So, during intense aerobic exercise, the material allows excess heat to escape from the insulation layer. And not only does this keep your temperature well regulated, it also decreases moisture accumulation as well. In summary, the Adapto is difficult to penetrate, but breathes well. For added breathability, the rear and side panels of the jacket have been constructed from the IceDry fabric. This material is highly insulating, stretchable, and soft -- all qualities that enhance the jacket's impeccable fit. And on that note, this is where Zero RH+ really shines. The body of the jacket has been pre-shaped on an anatomic form. This means that the cut has been coordinated to the predictability of your body's movements. So, when you move, the jacket moves with you, not against your skin. And to further ensure this, the Adapto jacket features stretch panels at heavy points of articulation. Securing the fit while you're in and out of the saddle are Zero RH+'s proprietary grippers at the front and rear hem. Now, even through the sea of translation, it's obvious that the jacket is 'adaptable.

Zero RH + Key-One Men's Jacket Fortunately, we're long past the days of street wear winter jackets being passed off as winter cycling jackets. This is due in part to the truly fanatical innovators in cycling apparel, and not surprisingly, Italy plays host to the majority of them. And one of the leaders in bringing 21st century technology into apparel is the Paruzzaro-based Zero RH+. Just take one look at its new keystone jacket, the Key-One Jacket, and you'll experience the physical form of progressive ideology. Starting at the front of the body, Zero RH+ used the ultralight Airdry Gold 250 fabric for its construction. As you might expect from its name, this material is completely windproof, and accordingly, it staves off the main source of winter chills -- headwind. As for the second principle of this fabric, the dry, Airdry Gold 250 uses a three-layer, open knit construction that maintains a high-level of breathability. Essentially, the fabric creates an internal micro climate that's unique to you. So, during intense aerobic exercise, the material allows excess heat to escape from the insulation layer. And not only does this keep your temperature well regulated, it also decreases moisture accumulation as well. For breathability, the front of the jacket also utilizes Zero RH+'s Air Through technology. This system selectively allows passage of air through the jacket for a refreshing sensation that also accelerates vapor evaporation. For added breathability, the rear and side panels of the jacket have been constructed from the Airdry Gold 200 fabric. This material is highly insulating, stretchable, and soft -- all qualities that enhance the jacket's impeccable fit. And on this note, this is where Zero RH+ really shines. The body and sleeves of the jacket have been pre-shaped and stitched on a contour of an anatomic form. This means that the cut has been coordinated to the predictability of your body's movements. So, when you move, the jacket moves with you, not against your skin.

ZOIC Downtown Stretch Jacket - Men's Sometimes a ride will take you through the woods, other times it'll take you across town. Just because Zoic calls its cold- and wet-weather oriented Jacket the Downtown Stretch, doesn't mean you can't venture beyond the metropolis. While the Stretch moniker is intended to highlight the Downtown's unique fabric, it could also reference this jackets ability to 'stretch' urban rides into less inhabited landscapes. Constructed from a double-weave fabric that is soft on the inside, yet tough and wind resistant on the outside, you can let your abilities dictate the ride -- not the weather. Zoic treats the Downtown Stretch with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish to complement its wind-blocking ability. But, just as important is the fabri's give. This allows you to easily shift around the cockpit as you ride, unlike technical hiking/outdoor jackets that bind and constrict when used on a bicycle. Purely technical-cycling jackets though, can look out of place anywhere off the bike. The Downtown, however, won't stand out like a sore thumb in a crowded public space. In this jacket, you'll enjoy a relaxed fit in body and sleeves, that aid in freedom of movement, and a drop-tail hem for cycling-specific coverage. There are three pockets total, one zipped arm pocket for tunes or a phone complete with a headphone cable port. At the front are two hand pockets, that, like the full-length front zipper, has easy-to-use silicone pull tabs. Zoic hits the Downtown Stretch with reflective logos on the left chest and rear right shoulder for low-light safety. It comes in one color and five sizes; Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, and XX-Large.
