Campagnolo Power Torque Bottom Bracket Campagnolo Power Torque Bottom Bracket
If you're buying a Power Torque crankset, then you need a Power Torque bottom bracket. The Campagnolo Athena 11 Power Torque Bottom Bracket mates perfectly up with the Athena, Centaur, and Veloce Power Torque cranks. From the outside, these cups look almost identical to the bottom bracket cups that work with Chorus, Record, and Super Record. But they're different. The right side cup functions the same as the right side cups on those other bottom brackets; it's a shell that you fit the right-side crankarm bearing into and an external clip to holds the bearing/crankarm in place. But the left side is different. Owing to the long spindle on Power Torque cranks, the left side cup already has a bearing pressed into it rather than the cup being empty and the bearing affixed to the left crank fitting into the cup. So, to repeat, if you're buying a Campagnolo Power Torque crankset, then you need a specific Power Torque Bottom Bracket. The Campagnolo Athena 11 Power Torque Bottom Bracket is available in English (68) or Italian (70) threads and are anodized a Dark Grey.

Campagnolo Super Record 11 Ultra Torque Bottom Bracket Campagnolo Super Record 11 Ultra Torque Bottom Bracket
The Campagnolo Super Record 11 speed Ultra Torque bottom bracket is hardly a component. The CULT ceramic bottom bracket bearings themselves are actually pre-pressed onto the Super Record 11 crankset semi-axles. When you buy a Super Record 11 Ultra Torque BB all you get is two empty bottom bracket cups (read: no bearings), plus one safety spring to hold your driveside crankarm in place while you install the non-driveside arm. You can install the Ultra Torque Super Record bottom bracket cups with Campagnolo's UT-BB120 bottom bracket installation tool, or with the same Park BBT-9 tool you use to install Shimano Dura Ace BB cups. Campy specifies a 35Nm torque for installation. One other detail of note: The Super Record bottom bracket cups are hard anodized for corrosion-resistance. Unlike the silver color of the Record 11 bottom bracket cups, the Super Record cups have more of a pewter finish. Available in English (68mm) or Italian (70mm) threads. While these BB's are stamped with "11 Speed Only" on the cups, please rest assured that Campy 10 speed and 11 speed bottom bracket cups ARE 100% interchangeable. The actual weights of the Campagnolo Super Record 11 Ultra Torque Bottom Bracket: English is 52g. Italian is 48g. 11% lighter than the 2010 model while still obtaining the same stiffnessLaser-etched graphics add sex appealCompatible with Campagnolo 10 or 11-Speed Ultra-Torque CranksetsNote: BB cups and mounting bracket only

FSA Ceramic Bottom Bracket Assembly - BB86/BB92 FSA Ceramic Bottom Bracket Assembly - BB86/BB92
We've sold ceramic bearing retrofit kits for years and we've always appreciated the fact that FSA has offered ceramic bearings as standard equipment before it was a universal craze. Ceramics offer a measurable reduction in friction. Like improving your aerodynamics, having ceramics makes you faster, but it'll do so with a lot more money left in your pocket. The FSA BB86 Ceramic Bearing bottom bracket will fit BB86-specific bikes from Scott, Giant, or the ever-growing variety of other frames built with an integrated bottom bracket shell that measures 86. 5mm wide x 41mm i. d. The kit comes with two of FSA's sealed ceramic cartridges. Each of the 37mm x 24mm x 7mm bearings are pressed into a forged and CNC machined aluminum sleeve that has a 41mm o. d. and is chamfered to allow an easy start for the press fit into the bike. They have a 1. 75mm thick shoulder that sits flush against the frame's bottom bracket shell to provide a positive stop. FSA uses black plastic dust shields to augment the rubber seals built into the cartridge bearing. The shields snap into a small groove machined into the inside diameter of the inner race and run freely with no drag. The FSA BB86 Ceramic Bearing bottom bracket assembly is all you'll need to mate your crankset to a BB86 specific bike. It comes with the two bearing assemblies and a small syringe loaded with FSA's special ceramic bearing grease formulation. Actual weight is 64 grams. For use with FSA cranksets only

Shimano Dura Ace BB86 Bottom Bracket Shimano Dura Ace BB86 Bottom Bracket
The 86mm bottom bracket is a relatively new, reasonably beefier BB standard that allows frame designers a little more leeway to play around with seat tube, downtube, and chainstay designs. The new, larger shell requires a larger bracket, obviously, and Shimano designed the Dura-Ace BB86 Bottom Bracket to quite literally fill the gap. While it's a little larger than traditional BBs, the BB86 has the same design as Shimano's other Dura-Ace brackets, with steel cartridge bearings packed inside composite cups and plastic o-rings and dust shields to keep everything running smoothly. The 86 is also compatible with Shimano HollowTech cranks, so you can keep your old crankset even if you're getting a new frame.

Shimano Dura-Ace BB-R9100 Bottom Bracket Shimano Dura-Ace BB-R9100 Bottom Bracket
Our modern world of bottom brackets is something of a labyrinth; if you can decipher the clues to find your way to the one that works for you, we commend you. But if a few shadowy paths still leave you uncertain or confused, let us try to illuminate one of them for you. The Dura-Ace BB-R9100 Bottom Bracket has stood as a bellwether for solid, reliable bottom bracket design since Shimano wisely embraced external bottom bracket technology when it wasn't yet popular. Despite new bottom bracket standards bombarding us more often than ever, Shimano keeps its faith in this serviceable, reliable, and exceptionally durable design, and for good reason. Improved seals ensure a quieter ride and reduce drag, and the smaller friction-reducing bearings that first appeared on Dura-Ace 9000 return to smooth your ride once again.

Shimano Ultegra SM-BB72-41B PressFit Bottom Bracket Shimano Ultegra SM-BB72-41B PressFit Bottom Bracket
It's easy to overlook the humble bottom bracket in the quest for the most efficient, drag-free riding experience, as this component usually does its job without putting up much of a commotion. Thankfully, though, Shimano knows how integral this component is to your drivetrain, which why it spends considerable time making certain that it uses only the best, silky-smooth bearings, advanced sealing, and high manufacturing tolerances. Such is the case with its new Ultegra SM-BB72-41B PressFit Bottom Bracket design. Where a typical road bike has a 68 or 70mm bottom bracket shell width, a BB86-equipped frame has a shell that measures 86. 5mm wide. A BB86 shell lacks internal threads and has a 41mm inside diameter. This SM-BB72-41B PressFit bottom bracket is made to press right into your frame. It will mate your Shimano HollowTech crankset to any frame equipped with a BB86 bottom bracket shell. This bottom bracket also comes with two steel cartridge bearings that are pressed into composite cups. The cups increase the outside diameter of the assembly to 41mm in order to match the frame's bottom bracket shell. There's a 1. 75mm thick outer-lip that provides a positive stop for the cups when you press them into place. The Shimano Ultegra SM-BB72-41B PressFit Bottom Bracket is available in one size. The assembly weighs in at around 63 grams.

SRAM GXP 83 Bottom Bracket SRAM GXP 83 Bottom Bracket
Many frames designed for extreme riding are built with an 83mm bottom bracket shell. It's a result of the wider axles used to optimize wheel stiffness to improve durability. The extra width in the back necessitates extra width in the cranks to get a proper chainline. If you have an 83mm shell and plan to run a SRAM/Truvativ GXP crankset, this is the bearing set you'll need. SRAM's GXP bottom brackets are brand specific -- meaning, they can only be installed with SRAM type cranks. The key element that makes them different from a Shimano or FSA bottom bracket is that the left side bearing has a smaller diameter to mate with the stepped spindle of the SRAM crank. This design allows the inner race of the left side bearing to be captured between the crankarm and the spindle, effectively locating the crank. The right side bearing "floats" on the spindle handling only radial loads as you pedal. The SRAM design optimizes bearing load, minimizes drag, and gives you durability. The GXP 83 Bottom Bracket has alloy cups and sealed cartridge bearings. It's compatible with Truvativ GXP mountain cranksets designed for an 83mm bottom bracket shell.
