FOX Racing Shox 34 Float 27.5 150 3Pos-Adj FIT4 Boost Fork description:
FOX is never content resting on previous acclaim, so naturally their suspension wizards redesigned the 34 Float 27. 5 150 3Pos-Adj FIT4 Boost Fork with heightened sensitivity levels. This redesign didn't affect the legendary support you've come to love with the 34 Float, meaning you'll still enjoy the precise tracking across the rough stuff. Their solution to developing a more sensitive fork lies in a new damper tune with a reconfigured shim stack for greater sensitivity and easier integration with add-on volume spacers. Following suit in the sensitivity department, the Float air spring now features EVOL tech (increased negative air spring volume) borrowed from FOX's rear shocks. Ultimately, this reduces the force required to initiate travel, lending a plush feel when you're smashing over small rocks and pedaling over root impediments. The 34 Float is an ideal match for 27. 5-inch trail bikes with its 34-millimeter stanchions providing just the right amount of stiffness for precise tracking over rough trails--all while maintaining a relatively light feel for conquering brutal climbs and long stretches across the backcountry. This version gets buttery-smooth Kashima stanchions, which is a nice addition for trails with lots of roots and rocks. Boost axle spacing increases wheel stiffness out front when you're plunging into steep descents and rallying over rock gardens. The big story with the 34 Float lies within the Fit4 damper with 3-position Adjust. The 3-position Adjust quickly changes high and low-speed compression to suit your local terrain and riding style. In the Open setting, fluid freely flows through the low-speed compression circuit and high-speed compression shim stack for a supple, ultra-plush feel. In this Open setting, you'll find 22 clicks of additional low-speed compression tuning for getting its feel just right. Turning the knob to Medium firms things up a bit for greater efficiency on long climbs and smooth trails. And for fire roads and asphalt...
