Beanís GQS Fly Rod
Built with Sweet Flex Action

L.L. Bean is building some of the best fly rods and reels in the industry and offering them at hundreds less than others of equal quality. The Sweet Flex Action of Beanís New GQS Fly Rod series ensures the success of casters of all ability levels by ìincreasing the sweet spotî of the casting range. If the caster happens to initiate the back or forward cast a little ahead or behind the 10 oíclock or 2 oíclock position, the sweet flex action of the GQS taper will still deliver an accurate cast through a wide range of distances. Give us a call and we will send one out for you to testóyouíll see what we mean.

Smooth, Progressive Flex
Built from the same smooth yet powerful design of the SPT series, the progressive medium/fast action of the GQS offers a very similar feel at less cost. Through extensive field testing, we have found this smooth power is preferred by everyone from seasoned guides to people just getting into the sport.

Built to Cast
GQS Rods are made using lightweight, high-modulus graphite and an advanced scrim and resin combination to produce their unique taper.

Easy to Load
Even with short tip casts, these rods load quickly and easily without collapsing at greater distances. In fact, they have a surprising reserve power that will punch a long line on command.

High Density Blanks
Our blanks are rolled at pressures up to 250 psi, more than double almost every other rod in the industry. Greater density means even lighter weight with added durability and sensitivity.

Features
Fuji stripping guides and Flor plus cork grips. Made in USA. Color: Deep Blue. Prices range from $250.00 - $299.00.

All of these aspects combine to make the new GQS Series an incredibly smooth, sweet casting fly rod at a great price. For more information or to order a FREE 1999 L.L. Bean Fly Fishing catalog, please call 1-800-809-7057 or visit our website at www.llbean.com.
