Review of Sierra Designs Wicked Fastbag Sleeping Bag
By Matt Smith

Face it, sometimes you just don't need much to stay warm. And hey, if you don't need more weight and loft to stay warm, why carry it around with you? The Sierra Designs Wicked Fastbag is made for just such situations. The Fastbag is stuffed with Powerfill 800 goose down providing incredible loft and warmth to weight ratios.

At first the Wicked Fastbag seemed a little too light. The bottom of the bag consists only of a sheet of fabric with no insulation. This makes sense of course when you realize that you'll have your pad with you for insulation anyway.

All of the fat has been trimmed from the Wicked Fastbag to shave off those precious ounces. The girth is fitted at both the shoulders and the knees. The foot closes like an envelope allowing easy venting if the night is still too warm.

Summary: For the weight and compressibility, the Wicked Fastbag is an excellent value at under $220 for the spring weight (35_F). It is ideal for people who live in warm climates or camp/backpack only in warmer weather.
